A Terra Nova Review, or, Why The Teenage Kid Gotta be so Predictably Annoying?

Terra Nova TV Series PosterDear Hollywood: despite what you may think, not every teenage boy out there is an annoying little prick suffering from uncontrollable, mysterious teen angst. And certainly not after you’ve sent him a gazillion million years into the past through a fancy schmancy time portal/gateway doohickey, and to a world surrounded by mysterious wonders, dino-friggin’-saurs, and the like.

First Look Trailers at Fox’s Time Travel Shows Terra Nova and Alcatraz

Fox recently held their upfront for the media this week, and two of the “first look” trailers that they revealed were for the Steven Spielberg-produced “Terra Nova” and the J.J. Abrams show “Alcatraz”. Now “Alcatraz” may not sound all that sci-fi, but the premise definitely is, and it involves time travel. Get a gander at extended trailers for both below.

New Terra Nova Trailer Expands on the Old and New World

Second, better trailer for the Steven Spielberg-produced “Terra Nova”, which explores more of the old (aka the crappy futuristic) world and the new (aka the ancient, dinosaur-filled) world in the show. It also expands on more of the characters, in particular lead Jason O’Mara’s Jim Shannon, and the Shannons in general.

Trouble in Terra Nova? May Preview Canceled

First Trailer for FOX’s Terra Nova

Not sure if this first trailer for the Steven Spielberg-produced “Terra Nova” appeared on Super Bowl Sunday or not, because I didn’t see it. Seeing as how FOX broadcasted the Super Bowl, you would think it’s a no-brainer that they would show this to gin up some interest. Don’t know for sure, but FOX has since put the 30-second spot out onto the net, and you can catch it below.

Two More Pics from Terra Nova

Entertainment Weekly has two new pics from Steven Spielberg’s “Terra Nova”. I believe one of the pic features star Jason O’Mara and your first look at Stephen Lang, who plays the show’s villain, though he certainly looks friendly enough with O’Mara’s character in the pic.

Terra Nova Sneak Peek in May 2011 for Fall Premiere

As you may or may not have heard, but “Terra Nova” was recently all over the blogosphere when it was announced that the show had fired many of its writers. Many surmised that the show was in trouble. Not so fast. As it turns out, that was just the network trying to save some bucks, and they always intended to re-hire them when the show finally got into the full swing of production.

Shelley Conn Lands Terra Nova Female Lead

After a long search, Fox has cast its female lead for its new, big-budget sci-fi time-traveling TV series (try writing that really fast!) “Terra Nova” in British actress Shelley Conn.
