Well, thanks to an anonymous tipster who will be forever near and dear to my heart, we’ve got the exclusive word that starting tomorrow night, future episodes of Stargate Universe will take the controversial step and affix a Kino style camera from the point of view of various female cleavages.

Get a Close Up Glimpse Of Alien Head From StarGate Universe
From the years and oh my god years of programming I’ve been subjected to from the completely ridiculous number of episodes of various Star Trek shows I’ve watched, I was not prepared for the close up glimpse of the oncoming aliens in the second half of season one of Stargate: Universe.
Another Quality Casting For StarGate: Universe
Robert Knepper, recently seen in Heroes as bad guy Samuel Sullivan, has been cast in StarGate: Universe as a Lucian Alliance member. What’s the Lucian Alliance? I have no idea but I’m sure it’ll involve making the crew of the Destiny suffer and so therefore force them to take more steam showers and be filmed at chest level.
The Full Length Trailer For The Second Part Of Season One Of Stargate Universe

Here we go with a big, full length trailer for Stargate Universe, one of our favorite shows here at Scificool. What’s to come? Aliens, flooding, Battlestar-ish space battles and an abdication. Seems to be less navel gazing and more running, firm and fully packed, through otherworldly open fields. I stuck through the first tentative episodes of this show and I am really glad I did. New episodes start April 2nd. Thanks Collider.
Stargate: Universe Second Half Promo Reveals Space Battles, Aliens, and Michael Shanks
Space battles? Honest to goodness aliens? Michael Shanks in an extended cameo on the ship? That seems to be where the second half of “Stargate: Universe’s” first season is headed. And yes, I’m afraid the ship is still very dark and moody, the camera is still very shaky, people are still shagging in corridors, and everyone is still very conflict-y. So if those were things you didn’t dig about Season 1′s first half, I’m afraid that isn’t going to change anytime soon. So basically, deal with it and tune in, or go watch something else and stop yer bitchin’.
Michael Shanks Thinks SG-1′s Time has Passed, No More Movies
In an interview with SciFi Wire (via Airlock Alpha) to promote his guest stint on the “Smallville: Absolute Justice” TV movie, “Stargate” alum Michael Shanks sounds very pessimistic about ever going through the stargate ever again. Which means, of course, if you’ve been waiting for a third direct-to-DVD “Stargate: SG1″ movie, you should probably stop right now.
Stargate Universe Needs Your Help
Joseph Mallozzi, producer and writer for Stargate Universe, is off by himself, sequestered in his basement and writing new ways for the Destiny’s crew to get into trouble. With trouble in mind, he’s now asking the fans, that’s me and you, for some input on the show. He has asked the following question via his blog
Will StarGate Universe Discover A Shakycam Cloverfield Monster?
I am a StarGate Universe fan. I so proclaim. We fans have had our ups and downs as we circle the show, watching through splayed fingers hoping that the cheese to wicked ratio is within survivable levels. It’s been touch and go. There are some permanent emotional scars. If you are like me and are sticking to it, you’ll be intrigued about the title of an oncoming episode, number 5 of the second part of season one, called “CloverDale” written by Brad Wright, the series creator.
StarGate Universes Ming-Na On Being A Sci-Fi Lesbian
Ming-Na is apparently Science Fictions first lesbian. I’ve been wracking my brain with it’s densely contained and massive archived data store of lesbian television and movie lore and my god man, she just may be right! This singular-ness is a crime against Sci-Fi that must be immediately remedied with more Ming-Na, more lesbians and more breathless, vaguely lecherous editorials!
Stargate Universe 1.0 DVD Artwork and Specs
As they are wont to do, the SyFy Channel has released the first half of their original show “Stargate: Universe”, aka “Stargate: Universe 1.0″ on DVD. Check out the full specs and artwork for the standard DVD and Blu-ray versions below. The big draw? An extended version of the pilot episode, with never-before-seen footage. “Stargate: Universe 1.0″ arrives on store shelves February 9, 2010. And yes, I am extremely curious about that special feature called “[Lieutenant Vanessa] James in the Shower”, for purely, you know, journalistic reasons, of course.
SyFy Renews Stargate Universe for Season 2, Sanctuary Season 3
Well so much for all the hope and praying by longtime “Stargate” fans that the SyFy Channel will see the error of their ways and dump “Stargate: Universe”, because it’s now official: the cable channel has given the much-derided “Universe” a Season 2 commitment, along with handing out a third season to its original series “Sanctuary” starring former “Stargate” alum Amanda Tapping.
Stargate Universe Recap 1.10: Justice
Your weekly dose of Stargate Universe recap is a little late this week. There was some unpleasantness on Friday night involving Christmas intoxicants. I won’t elaborate. Late Friday night has ceased to exist in my buffer. But, thanks to the miracle that is the internet, I have just finished viewing the best episode of SGU thus far, an episode called “Justice”.
Stargate Universe Ratings: Steadying, or Falling?
I’m not a TV numbers wonk, mostly because numbers give me headaches, which probably explains why I suck at math. But thankfully we have sites like tvbythenumbers.com to do all the numbers following and crunching for us. The site has a comprehensive ratings break-down for the first nine episodes of “Stargate: Universe”, and depending by your point of view, the show is either falling or steadying itself.
Here’s A Sneak Peek At The Next Episode Of Stargate Universe Called Justice
No one is pickier about their programming than Sci-Fi fans. We’re like piranhas on guppies when there is blood in the water. I for one, remain optimistic that SGU has some legs. People putting this show together and acting in it give a shit. I think it’s killing them that the show hasn’t had the reception they expected.
