Stargate Universe Series Finale Preview Clips

Man, wasn’t it just yesterday that we were all bitching about “Stargate: Universe”, pro and con? Some of you love the show and some of you hate it with a passion, but one thing’s for sure, the SyFy Channel didn’t fall into the former category, because the show is airing its final episode, titled “Gauntlet”, next week. From the previews, apparently they’re going out like it’s nothing special (what, just another alien fight?), which, oddly enough, is how most fans will probably remember this latest iteration of the “Stargate” franchise.

Stargate Universe’s Final 10 Episodes Begin with Deliverance

If you’re a fan of Syfy’s “Stargate: Universe” you’re probably licking your wounds right now. The show is set to air its final 10 episodes before cancellation, kicking off with next week’s “Deliverance”. Here’s a sneak peek clip from the upcoming episode.

SyFy Channel Cancels Stargate Universe

After the cancellation of the critically acclaimed but lowly rated “Caprica”, I think most people knew it was only a matter of time before SyFy axed “Stargate: Universe” as well. The two shows share a lot in common, from the low ratings to the critical acclaim to a fanbase that is sharply divided between love and hate with no spare feelings in-between.

Sneak Peek Clip at Stargate Universe’s Mid-Season Finale, 2.10 Resurgence

The last “Stargate: Universe” episode, aka the mid-season finale, is upon us. Check out a sneak peek clip from “Stargate: Universe” episode 2.10, “Resurgence”.

Caprica’s Gone — is Stargate Universe Next?

Now that the SyFy Channel has axed the “Battlestar Galactica” spin-off “Caprica” before it’s even aired the final episodes of Season 1, some people are worried that another SyFy Channel show might be in danger. Specifically, the latest “Stargate” iteration, “Stargate: Universe”.

Those Stargate SG1 and Atlantis Movies? Still Possible…

So what’s the deal on those “Stargate: SG1″ and “Stargate: Atlantis” movies that we were promised a while back, before “Stargate: Universe” became a hit for SyFy? According to producer Brad Wright, it was a combination of many things — MGM’s current money woes, the DVD market not being what it once was, and just pure bad timing.

Stargate Universe Season 2 Trailer

Check out a new, glossy trailer for “Stargate Universe” Season 2, premiering Tuesday, September 28 at 9/8c on the SyFy Channel.

Yes, there are more interpersonal conflicts, more infighting, more challenging of each other’s authority, more dark corridors, more punching each other, etc. Basically, more of the first season, only, er, more.

Two Promos for Stargate Universe Season 2

“Stargate: Universe” returns with its second season September 28, 2010. Yup, that’s a Tuesday. The show will be moving from its usual Friday night time slot to hit up Tuesday nights on the SyFy Channel.

Check out two promo videos for the upcoming season in the meantime.

Stargate Universe Season 2 Plot Details

The “Stargate: Universe” crew held their Comic Con panel today in San Diego, and came prepared with plenty of Season 2 plot details for the gathered throngs. Among them, the news that the Lucian Alliance, who invaded the Destiny ship at the end of last year, won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, they’ll be sticking around permanently, and will eventually be merged into the crew.

Stargate Universe and Atlantis Crossover is in the Works

While this news from “Stargate: Universe” producer Joseph Mallozzi about an impending “Universe”/”Atlantis” cross-over will make some fans of the show happy (and infuriate others, no doubt), I fall somewhere in the middle. Here’s the deal: I’ve seen all those cross-overs by the “Stargate: SG1″ cast in “Universe”, and each and every time, even though I kind of like seeing Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, and Richard Dean Anderson still hanging out in the “Stargate” universe, it always feels … incongruous.

Stargate Universe Season 2 Will be Tougher, Darker, More Depressing

As if being forced to sit through a single episode’s worth of storyline stretched out unmercifully into three draaaaaaaaaagging episodes, as well as a season ending cliffhanger wasn’t “tough”, “dark”, and “depressing” enough, the “Stargate: Universe” producers are promising even harder times for our stranded heroes in the show’s upcoming Season 2.

Stargate Universe 1.5 DVD and Blu-Ray Cover Art and Specs

The latest hit series from the creators of “Stargate SG-1” makes a date with destiny when “SGU 1.5” debuts on Blu-ray Disc and DVD July 27 from MGM Home Entertainment.

Stargate Universe Episode Recap 1.20: Incursion Part 2

Well it’s the end. The first season of StarGate Universe is over. Drama just isn’t interesting unless the people you’re watching experience change. Space is stressful. Did the castaways evolve as human beings over the season? Did the year of dark corridors, invading aliens, bad food and grouchy Scotsmen culminate in a wicked finale or did it all just fizzle?

Stargate Universe Episode Recap 1.19: Incursion Part 1

My, how the time has flied this season on Stargate Universe. It’s already season finale time. It’s a two parter and it’s called Incursion. Let’s see which side, the good guys or those nasty Lucians, get to pretend to drive the Destiny.

Stargate Universe Episode Recap 1.18: Subversion

Lets just get this out of the way, Richard Dean Anderson is great. Before my little trip into Universe, I didn’t have a lot of experience with Stargate and I only knew Richard from his fun filled MacGyver days. I love him. He’s got that gravitas thing and in accompaniment, a light and funny approach. Please Stargate guys, find a way to get him on the Destiny forever.
