New Extended Trek Trailer

star-trek-trailerI will continue under the assumption that, like myself, you are in fully fan frenzy mode for the upcoming Trek feast. We have a trailer here, new to my eyes, that contains some new cool footage, possibly of a damp Scotty and a summersaulting Sulu.

I’ll never get enough of this. Watch and enjoy.

Four New Star Trek Posters

Four new posters for J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” reboot. At this point, you’re either a sci-fi fan, in which case you’re there on opening day, or you’re not, which means the trailers have either done it for you, or they haven’t. I can’t see the film recruiting more members from this point on. You’re either in or you’re not, so these posters really don’t matter, but they look awfully nice anyway.

Part Three Of The Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman Trek Interview

star-trek-trailerThe third part of SciFiWire’s interview with the writers of “Star Trek” is live. In this episode, Roberto and Alex discuss time travel as a literary necessity, the attention span of 12 year old boys and why a little Star Wars speed injection is a good thing.

Co-Authors of Star Trek Talk About The Big Three

star-trek-trailerRoberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, co-scribes of “Star Trek” (05.08.09) relate their approaches to the relationships between Kirk, Spock and McCoy and how this snapshot of their early days works with the larger canon we are all familiar with.

On writing and being Kirk. Get the whole interview (part 2 of 3) at SciFiWire.

New Star Trek TV Spot: Now Even More Nifty

star-trek-nero-0There is a new “Star Trek” TV spot just released from Paramount showing some new footage and really ramping up the Gee-Wiz action factor. I may start camping out in front of the theatre now, just in principal.

Trek Doctor Spills Some Inside Juice On Kirks Birth

star-trek-enterprise-abrams1Sonita Henry, the actress that plays the doctor responsible for bringing James Tiberius Kirk into the world in the upcoming “Star Trek”, gives us some behind the scenes info on the chaos of Kirk’s birth.

Giant Nero Wants to Eat You, James Kirk

Paramount has released a new image from their upcoming J.J. Abrams directed “Star Trek” reboot movie. The image shows the heavily tattooed Romulan Nero (played by Eric Bana) on the screen talking to young Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto). No doubt the movie’s baddie is taunting them and what not. It’s what bad guys do, you know.

In Depth Star Trek Trailer Analysis

star-trek-trailerI must admit to a moment of intense geekgasm at the sight of the latest “Star Trek” trailer. My first thought, after my neurons recovered was, “Man, there’s a lot of information packed in there”.

The Latest Trailer for Abrams’ Star Trek 11

Not sure if this is the final trailer, or just the latest trailer for J.J. Abrams’ reboot of the Trek franchise, but here it is nonetheless. It looks good, even for a non-Trekkie like myself. I’m not sure if Kirk and Uhura ever did the horizontal mambo in the original show, or if it was ever hinted at, but they sure are doing it in this one.

Pandorum’s New Trailer Brings Sci-Fi Chills

pandorum-movie-0The latest trailer for “Pandorum”  is up and about. The beginning of the trailer reminds me uncomfortably of yesterdays dental appointment. Unusual fluids, stainless steel objects coming at me from strange angles, screaming. You get it. Thanks to Scifiwire for the morning flashback.

Is There A New 60′s Feel Star Trek Series In The Works?

kirk-spockIn an interview in iF Magazine, it has been reported that Bryan Fuller, a former Trek writer and producer,  has been speaking to J.J Abrams about a reboot/rebirth Star Trek TV series with maybe some of that old 60′s swing so missing from all the other shows like NG and Enterprise.

Sci-Fi Superbowl XVLIII Movie Trailers: Transformers 2, Witch Mountain, Star Trek 11, Monsters vs. Aliens

Besides the game itself, the other notable aspect of Superbowl Sunday are the movie trailers. Every movie fan is dying to find out what the big studios will be putting out there to get the audiences jacked up, and since the price of the ads are so expensive, you expect the ads to be pretty good, right? Not so much in previous years, but maybe it’ll change this year. Here are some of the sci-fi movie trailers that made their way to Superbowl Sunday this year, including: “Race to Witch Mountain”, “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen”, “Monsters vs. Aliens”, and “Star Trek 11″.

New Posters and Images From Push

Let’s face it, if you haven’t fantasized about having telekinetic powers and being able to move things with your mind, then you just don’t have any imagination. I think everyone has daydreamed about being able to, say, TK’ing a mug into the back of their boss’s head from all the way across the office at one point or another. That seems to be the main power of Chris Evans’ character in Paul McGuigan’s sci-fi movie “Push”. The film also co-stars Camilla Belle and Dakota Fanning, and is due out in theaters sometime next year. New images and poster from the movie below.

New Full-Length Star Trek 11 Trailer

According to published reports, J.J. Abrams is not exactly a big fan of the Star Trek franchise. I think the director has even admitted that he doesn’t plan on making his Trek reboot movie conform to what we already know about the characters. Which may explain why the first 30 seconds or so of this bootleg trailer for Abrams’ Trek 11 doesn’t look anything like, well, Trek. Plus, later in the trailer, Spock puts the neck choke on Kirk, and I may be wrong, but Uhura flashes us her bra in a disrobing scene. Yup. This ain’t your father’s Trek, kids. Behold, the first full-length trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 11 in bootleg form.
