The whole leadup to “Splice”, a creature feature produced by Guillermo Del Toro and directed by Vincenzo Natali, totally whizzed by me. However, though I was lax in my Sci-Fi duties, I swear I’ll make up for it.
“Splice” stars Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley and recounts the horrific tale of two scientists that mess with natures evolutionary processes only to create a hybrid creature both beautiful and nasty. Adrien Brody will soon star in “Predators”, a casting that has drawn cries of horror from our dear readers. Let me say that at first glance it seems like an odd choice but Brody does have an academy award and Robert Rodriquez is no fool. As a fellow big nose recipient, I’m going to give Adrien the benefit of the doubt until I see some film.
Now, back to “Splice”, I have for you some pics of the creature (with kitty!) and some other shots from the film. Some fantastic design work here. [...]

I haven’t been paying much attention to this one but I think I’ll start. The film is called “SPLICE” and stars Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley. A couple of scientists melt together human and animal genetic material to create the creature you will see shortly. Of course it all goes horribly wrong because they start small but they don’t stay that way. It’s directed by Vincenzo Natali. “SPLICE” is out sometime early next year. Thanks Twitch.

Haven’t heard from Vincenzo Natali’s “Splice” in a while, since that poster for the movie was released last year. Fortunately that changes today, as new images from the movie have popped up online, showing more of the movie’s human/creature hybrids and some very disturbing, bloody action.
Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named “Dren”, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators – only to have that bond turn deadly.
Written and directed by Canadian director Vincenzo Natali (”Cube”, “Nothing”), the film stars Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, Delphine Chaneac, Brandon McGibbon, and of course, Natali’s favorite muse, Stargate Atlantis star David Hewlett.

Via IO9.com, here are some more images from Vincenzo Natali’s upcoming sci-fi movie “Splice”, including a poster that I hadn’t seen before. The images are hosted over at a Spanish site, but since I can’t read Spanish, I don’t know the site’s title. In any case, the images look like concept artwork from the movie, including some, shall we say, very nude pictures of the type of “mutants” that the main characters in the movie will be “splicing” together, hence the title, one presumes.

Via Worst Previews, here are two first looks at Canadian filmmaker Vincenzo Natali’s upcoming sci-fi movie “Splice”, which stars Sarah Polley and Adrian Brody as rebellious scientists who experiment in, as the title may imply, splicing human and animal DNA. As you can imagine, bad things happen. What, you thought this would be a good thing or something? They never are in the movies, chum. Your first looks at the movie below.
Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism.
