Apparently these were taken over at Dragon Con this year, and features Summer Glau and her fellow “Firefly” cast (including Morena Baccarin, Sean Maher, and Jewel Staite) posing with fans who showed up. You can find all of the pics here. The catch is, someone took all the pictures with Summer Glau and the fans and combined them into this very awesome gif. You’ll notice that Summer Glau, who is a professional, after all, has a singular smile throughout the photos — until, well, this dude shows up at the end. Via CHUD. In a word: Awesome. (Note: you’ll need to let the .gif file below load completely first before you can get the full effect.)

Okay, so it’s taken me three years to finally sit down and watch Joss Whedon’s big-screen sci-fi actioner “Serenity”. In my defense, let me just say that while I enjoyed the uncut pilot for Firefly, the TV series precursor to “Serenity”, that I saw a few years back, I did not fall in love with it. Then again, I only watched the pilot after the show had been cancelled by FOX, so in that respect, I suppose I didn’t exactly have any incentives to become attached to the show. As a result, when Whedon was finally able to gather up the funding for a feature-length Firefly movie (called “Serenity”, also the name of the Firefly-class transport ship that the characters call home), I did not exactly rush to the theaters to see it. Or rush to Blockbusters to rent the DVD. But hey, better late than never, right? “Serenity” the movie picks up where the series left off: Mal (Nathan [...]
