V Season 2 Returns Tonight, and What the Visitors REALLY Look Like

Anna is pissed! Erica is still calling out for her precious Ty! Jane Badler joins the cast as Mother Lizard! So does Marc Singer as a Freedom Fighter! Can Michael Ironside be far behind?

First Trailer for TNT’s Falling Skies

You’ve seen the pictures, now here’s the first trailer for TNT’s new sci-fi series “Falling Skies”, which stars Noah Wylie of “ER” fame as a college professor turned resistance leader who takes to the hills to escape the invading alien horde. The trailer isn’t exactly great stuff in terms of quality video, but hey, seeing as how this show has been hidden away by TNT for what seems like forever, it’s something.

Doctor Who Season 6 Promo Trailer

Doctor Who is cool. Look, he’s wearing a Stetson now! Ahem. Here’s the first trailer for the new, sixth season (or series as they call it Across the Pond) of “Doctor Who”, which brings the Doctor, Amy Pond, and recurring guest babe (er, star) Alex Kingston over to the States for a little jaunt. My guess is Area 51 figures in there somewhere. You can’t have a sci-fi movie/TV show set in the desert without Area 51 rearing its cliched head.

Watch the First 15 Minutes of the V Season 2 Premiere Episode Now

ABC has put up the first 15 minutes from “V’s” upcoming return to TV with its second season online. You can check it out below. Obviously the video isn’t going to say around for very long; they’ll probably pull it as soon as the episode airs next year on January 4, 2011 with the episode “Red Rain”.

Concept Artwork for BSG: Blood and Chrome

And then there was “Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome”. With the SyFy Channel having canceled two of their more critically acclaim shows in the same year (“Caprica” and “Stargate: Universe”), they’ll need a replacement. “Sanctuary”, “Warehouse 13″, “Haven”, and their other barely sci-fi shows certainly aren’t gonna pull in the critics and audiences at the same time. Maybe “Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome” will manage that feat when it premieres next year. Until then, here are some concept artwork from the coming show:

SyFy Channel Cancels Stargate Universe

After the cancellation of the critically acclaimed but lowly rated “Caprica”, I think most people knew it was only a matter of time before SyFy axed “Stargate: Universe” as well. The two shows share a lot in common, from the low ratings to the critical acclaim to a fanbase that is sharply divided between love and hate with no spare feelings in-between.

Add Bill Pullman to Torchwood’s American Cast

“Torchwood” just keeps adding to the American cast: the latest addition is Bill Pullman, most famous to sci-fi audiences as the President in “Independence Day”. Pullman’s character on “Torchwood” is a tad different from his “ID4″ days, though he’ll probably be fighting aliens here, too, we presume.

Doctor Who A Christmas Carol Video Clips

It’s the most Christmas-y Christmas special of the year, with a time-traveling doctor at the center of it all. Or at least, that’s how Matt Smith describes the upcoming “Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol” special. Check out a trialer, some clips, and a “look inside” feature from the movie below. Co-starring Michael Gambon, and featuring Rory and Amy’s visit to the honeymoon suite post-nuptials.

Mekhi Phifer and Arlene Tur Join Torchwood Season 4

It will officially be Season 4 of the BBC sci-fi/action-adventure show “Torchwood”, but for most American audiences, it’ll probably be their introduction to the show, which began life as a “Doctor Who” spin-off. Now word has Mekhi Phifer, late of Fox’s “Lie to Me”, joining John Barrowman and Eve Myles on the show as the American face to bring “Torchwood” to an all-new American audience.

V Season 2 Has a Traitor in the Fifth Column!

Well, this is certainly bad news for the resistance. EW has revealed some some juicy bit of news involving the upcoing second season of “V”, including the revelation that one of the Fifth Column resistance fighters is — gasp! — a traitor. Plus, Chad Decker continues to be a human douche bag, apparently. Read on!

CW Wants to Replace Smallville with Raven TV Series

Hey, remember when the CW tried to make a “Smallville” version of Robin from Batman and Robin fame called “The Graysons”? Yeah, that didn’t go very well, and was dumped because the suits didn’t want it to tarnish what Christopher Nolan was doing over at his “Batman Begins” corner of the DC-verse.

Doctor Who Christmas Special Promo Images

Doctor Who does Christmas. Again. Hey, as long as Karen Gillan and her short skirt and go-go boots are around for the festivities, I’m there. Promo images below.

Craig Ferguson Explains Doctor Who to Americans

For those who have never heard of him, Craig Ferguson has one of the funniest talk shows on TV. Unfortunately Craig comes on really, really, REALLY late at night. Thus, “The Late Late Show” on CBS. Cause, you know, it comes on really late and such. Think of him as David Letterman, back when David Letterman was still funny.

Marc Singer Will Fight the Alien Lizards Again in the New V!

Well, this is certainly exciting news, especially if you’re a fan of ABC’s new “V” show. Or even if you aren’t, but loved the original, then this may get you to start watching the new rebooted version. Or not.

Promos for SyFy’s American Version of Being Human

The SyFy Channel has released promo images and a couple of preview teasers from their upcoming remake of the hit British supernatural show “Being Human”. The American version stars former “Smallville” Sams, Sam Witwer and Sam Huntington, along with Canadian actress Meaghan Rath. Witwer isthe vampire, Huntington howls at the moon as the werewolf, while Rath is the ghost.
