ABC’s V Takes A Creative Hiatus

The upcoming ABC Sci-Fi series “V’, starring Elizabeth Mitchell and Scott Wolf has been shut down for two weeks for a “creative hiatus”. Shouldn’t affect the series premiere on Nov 3rd, or so they say.

Summer Glau Officially Enters the Dollhouse, Other Casting Notes

Whedon fanboys have been clamoring for it ever since Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles got the axed and Joss Whedon announced that it was a possibility four months ago, and now it’s official: Summer Glau will indeed be joining the cast of Whedon’s Dollhouse.

Smallville Season 9 Trailer Reveals the Super Suit

A few days ago I posted those spy set photos someone shot of star Tom Welling in his new super suit for the show. I was waiting for someone to demand I take them down, but no one ever did, and now I know why: this latest trailer for Smallville Season 9 pretty much shows the suit. Oh well.

Demon-Apocalyptic Trailer for Supernatural Season 5

Finally! I was getting a little disappointed by all the Supernatural Season 5 stuff that I’ve been seeing, mostly how un-apocalyptic it all seemed. Then came this new Season 5 trailer. WOW.

Latest Dollhouse Season 2 Poster

Granted, Joss Whedon fans will watch pretty much anything with the man’s name stamped on it, but for everyone else it helps to have a star like Eliza Dushku. Check out the latest poster for Fox’s upcoming Dollhouse Season 2 featuring its star.

New Amsterdam’s Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Joins Game of Thrones

I’m a fan of New Amsterdam, and hated when FOX canceled it. Its star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been in a couple of shows, but none have stuck. Maybe joining Sean Bean’s HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones will do the trick.

Stargate: Universe Poster Features Sci-Fi Panic

Here is the cool new poster for Stargate: Universe, a show I have high hopes for and will be doing an episode by episode rundown on if it’s good. SGU premieres on the SyFy Network Friday, Oct 2nd. Thanks EW.

SyFy Orders Second Season of Warehouse 13

The SyFy Channel is so pleased with the performance of Warehouse 13 that they have already ordered a second season. Ratings for the show have been that good, and is apparently growing with each new episode.

Dollhouse Season 2 Promo Images

Eliza Dushku brings the Dollhouse crew back for a second season, thanks to a decision by FOX to renew Joss Whedon’s show while sending Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to the junkyard. Here are some promo images from the second season. Yes, I’m still just a tad bitter.

TV Preview: Supernatural 5.01 Sympathy for the Devil

The Winchester boys return next month, September 10 with an all-new Season 5. The whole shebang kicks off with the episode “Sympathy for the Devil”, which judging by the promos below, doesn’t look all that, well post-apocalyptic. At least, I was expecting something on a grander (more horrific) scale after the release of Lucifer at the end of last year and not what looks like more of the same? The girl in the black leather is apparently Meg, another one of Sam’s old “cute girl turns out to be a demon bitch” from the show’s earlier seasons. Ol Sam and Dean’s got plenty of those.

DVD Review: Stargate Atlantis – Fans Choice (Blu-Ray)

In 1994, a movie called “Stargate” changed the face of science fiction. Fifteen years and six-hundred television/home video spin-offs later, Fox Home Entertainment has brought forth “Stargate: Atlantis – Fans Choice” to Blu-ray in a very barebones release. The disc contains “Rising,” the pilot episode for “Stargate: Atlantis” and the series finale, “Enemy At The Gate” from Season Five.

First Look at Brian Austin Green as Metallo in Smallville

I’m a fan of Brian Austin Green, or BAG as his friends call him (I presume). I didn’t always use to be a fan until he joined Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and I thought really sold the role of a futuristic resistance fighter who has seen it all. Now that TSCC is canceled, Green is joining the cast of Smallville as the villain Metallo.

District 9 Director Ready for a Sequel

This is what happens when a movie comes out of nowhere and scores big, as director Neill Blomkamp’s film “District 9″ has done. The film’s got people interested in sci-fi again (always a good thing), and that excitement has translated into box office success to the tune of a $37 million dollar opening weekend. So can a sequel be far behind?
