Stargate Universe Recap 1.04: Darkness

stargate-universe-review-1Welcome to the episode 4 recap. When we last left Dr. Rush, Eli Wallace, Colonel Young and friends aboard the starship Destiny, they had just figured out that whole breathable air thing. Oxygen is good.

A New NBC’s Day One Pic Shows What’s Left

NBC’s “Day One” was supposed to be a full series but for reasons unknown, it’s getting the chop down to a 4 hour miniseries. “Day One” is about a group of people trapped, hiding or sticking together in an apartment complex after something invades the hell out of us.

Latest V Poster Teases with Anna

The latest poster for ABC’s new “V” show shows off a side of Anna (played by Morena Baccarin) that is, shall we say, a tad reptilian. The show will air as a four-hour mini-series event on November 3, 2009, before turning as a series in March 2010. Or at least, that’s the current plan.

BSG’s Grace Park and Tricia Helfer in Maxim Magazine

Yowsers. Why did they cancel “Battlestar Galactica” again? I’m not sure, but someone’s got some ‘splainin’ to do. Until then, here’s Tricia Helfer and Grace Park reminding you why there were some pretty awesomely good times on the Galactica before it all went to shit. The only thing missing, of course, is Katee Sackhoff. What, they couldn’t convince her to do the threesome spread? For shame, for shame.

Legend of the Seeker Adds a Vulcan, an Angel, and a Football Brat to Season 2

As the Sam Raimi-produced fantasy show “Legend of the Seeker” gears up for its second season, it’s adding some new faces to the roster — “Star Trek: Enterprise’s” sexy Vulcan Jolene Blalock will be joining the show as its new heavy, while former “Angel” castmember Charisma Carpenter will have a guest spot on the show’s Season 2 premiere episode. “Friday Night Lights’” Aimee Teegarden will also be checking in.

Stargate Universe’s Alaina Huffman and Elyse Levesque are Steppin’ Out

Here are two more reasons to watch “Stargate: Universe” — Alaina Huffman and Elyse Levesque are on the cover of “Steppin’ Out” magazine. I have no idea what the magazine does, or where it’s steppin’ out to, but it can’t be all bad if it’s giving props to “SGU”, right? Magazine cover featuring the two lovely ladies below.

Just What Was The Evil Cloud Thing At The End Of Last Weeks Flash Forward Episode?

I haven’t been doing a weekly recap of Flash Forward but I might begin if it continues to be interesting. Once you start one of those things you’re obligated to keep at it.

First Look at Summer Glau in Dollhouse

Here’s your first look at the delightful Summer Glau doing the first of her multi-episode arc on Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”. Summer will make her first appearance in the 2.05 episode “Public Eye”, airing October 30, 2009. She will be playing a character named Bennett, a programmer who supposedly shares a past with Eliza Dushku’s Echo.

Stargate Universe Ratings Improve From Premiere

Stargate: Universe 1.04 Darkness Promo ImageWell, SGU is certainly being discussed around these parts. It seems that despite the early mixed reaction, Sci-Fi kids are tuning in to the tale of the fateful trip through a Stargate less traveled.

Elise Gatien is Green Arrow’s Speedy on Smallville

On Smallville, the young and hunky Oliver Queen is getting himself a sidekick, and predictably, it’s a young and hot little number set to be played by actress Elise Gatien. No Roy Harper, her, so if you were hoping Smallville stuck to the comics this time around, whatsammata, you?

Dollhouse Will Air All Lucky 13 Episodes

I haven’t been keeping up with “Dollhouse”. There’s really no reason for it, I just, well, have a lot of other things to do on Friday, and watching TV is really not one of them. I have a hard enough time finding room to watch my DVRs of “Stargate: Universe”. Having said that, if you are a fan of Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”, then rest assured, FOX has officially announced that they will, indeed, air all 13 episodes of the show’s Season 2.

Stargate: Universe 1.04 Darkness Promos

Promo images and video preview for this week’s “Stargate: Universe” episode, 1.04, “Darkness”.

Dr. Nicholas Rush tries to find out why the ship’s power reserves are critically low. Colonel Young orders everyone to limit the power consumption. Eventually everything apart from the life support goes out. However, Destiny reaches a solar system with three planets giving them hope to live another day.

Flash Forward Gets Seven More Episodes

flash-forward-tv-review-6I’ve watched every episode of ABC’s Flash Forward so far and I’m frustrated. Either be good or be bad but stop screwing around in between.

Stargate Universe: The Worst Stargate Yet, the Best of the Worst, or Somewhere In-Between?

Take a glance at our reader comments section on our “Stargate: Universe” posts, and you’ll start to notice a couple of patterns: loyal fans of the previous two “Stargate” shows have almost no interest in the new “Universe” show besides going out of their way to call it every name in the book; meanwhile, non-fans of the franchise have grappled onto “Universe” but in doing so are making it be known that the previous two incarnations were utter shit in their opinion. And then there are those guys in-between, like me.

Lou Diamond Phillips And Ming-Na In A Flirty SGU Interview

Yes, it’s another Stargate Universe post. SGU is the Sci-Fi flavour of the week kids and I am still feeling the love, so let’s just ride that wave shall we?
