Another Trailer for the Contemplative Another Earth

Second Trailer for Joe Cornish’s Comedy/Sci-Fi Attack the Block

A new, second trailer for Joe Cornish’s addition to the suddenly red-hot alien invasion genre, “Attack the Block”. It’s a sci-fi/comedy, so don’t expect anything too hardcore. Looks good, though.

5-Minute Sneak Peek Preview of TNT’s Falling Skies

“Falling Skies” has one hell of a pedigree — from producer Steven Spielberg, starring “ER’s” Noah Wyle, and the premise is every geek fanboy’s dreams. But for some reason, I’m not hearing a whole lot of buzz about it, which is a shame, because a show like this is something I’m going to eat up with a big ol spoon. It won’t premiere until the Summer, starting on June 19, but until then, check out a five-minute sneak peek at the first episode.

Theatrical Trailer for Cowboys and Aliens Rocks the Joint

Listen to Olivia Wilde’s dialogue in this new theatrical trailer for Jon Favreau’s “Cowboys and Aliens” and you’ll realize they’ve pretty much spoiled a pretty big detail about her character’s real, er, origins. The theatrical trailer itself looks pretty good, and Daniel Craig is in full asskicking mode, it would appear.

The Apes Finally Rises in Their First Full Trailer

Check out the first full trailer for Rupert Wyatt’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”, a film that looks decent, if a big too “drama-y” for a sci-fi event film. It’s certainly big on the apes rising part, though the James Franco and Freida Pinto as humans part might be a tad underwhelming. Rising August 5, 2011.

Caesar Rises in 4 Seconds from Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Check out your first four seconds from 20th Century Fox’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” — yes, that is the new official title now. This four second look at Caesar from “Apes” is courtesy of the folks at WETA, who also did the “Lord of the Rings” movies. Starring James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, Andy Serkis, and directed by Rupert Wyatt, the apes are scheduled to rise again August 5, 2011.

Four Incredible Minutes from Green Lantern

Warner Bros. recently took their expensive “Green Lantern” to WonderCon and showed four groovy minutes from the movie to fans. There are a lot of new footage from the movie, and possibly your most extensive look at the Green Lantern Corp. yet. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed if you’re a comic book fan.

Two Clips from Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block

Two clips from London’s contribution to our fight against those pesky (and suddenly very often) alien invaders, Joe Cornish’s “Attack the Block”. Take a look, won’t you?

First TV Spot for The SyFy Channel’s Alphas

Fear the New Doctor Who Season 6 Trailer

“Doctor Who’s” latest trailer has him meeting old friends, encountering new enemies, and heading off to America. Or, at least, one part of America. It’s a big country, you know.

Whatever Happened to Pete Blaggit? Anal Probing May Have been Involved.

Okay, anal probing is definitely involved. Or as the film puts it, alien raping. Either/or. Check out a groovy and definitely “out there” trailer for writer/director Mark Jeavons’ sci-fi comedy “Whatever Happened to Pete Blaggit?”, an independent UK film set for release sometime in 2011.

What if Star Wars was a TV Show from the ’80s? Here’s What it Would Look Like

Oh, YouTube, how I love you. Of all the major Internet destinations, YouTube has got to be the most useful and most entertaining time-waster of them all. You gotta admit, there’s a reason why most companies have the site on their banned list. Can you imagine an employee wasting hundreds of hours on this thing a day? Hell, it beats Twitter or Facebook, that’s for sure.

A Day in the Life of Princess Leia and Her Stormtrooper Captors

So what’s it like for Princess Leia after she got captured by the Stormtroopers at the beginning of “Star Wars”? Well College Humor is doing a series of original shorts that exposes what everyone’s favorite Rebel Princess went through during her captivity. Okay, so they don’t come out and say that it’s Star Wars, but come on, it’s Star Wars.
