I liked “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. Then again, I liked “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. Hell, I like most movies about giant robot aliens from outer space that can transform into cool vehicles while a cool “transforming” soundtrack plays in the background. In my book, that translates into coolness. Hence, this site. I like cool sci-fi stuff, so sue me. I’m an easy guy to please.

I have to admit, I’ve been very curious about this Timur Bekmambatov-produced alien invasion film. The setting is novel — it has American kids in Moscow getting caught during the alien invasion. There’s something you don’t see every day. Check out the first trailer below.

Legendary Pictures has released your first official look at the title logo for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming sci-fi/epic/monster flick “Pacific Rim”. Check it out below.

Acclaimed writer, producer and director Guillermo del Toro’s new film PACIFIC RIM features cast members including Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, and Rinko Kikuchi. Now the logo featured on uniforms from the film is revealed here.

Quick News: Escape From New York Remake is Dead, but Voltron Lives!

Two major news from the world of sci-fi movie development today. The first has that “Escape from New York” movie being dropped from New Line. The studio, with Warner Bros. have decided not to remake the film, so now it’ll be up to someone else to bring Snake Plissken back to the big screen.

Third Clip and Sizzle Reel for Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Tired of apes yet? No. Good. Here’s a third clip featuring Tom Felton (the baddie from “Harry Potter”, still playing a baddie here; I guess the kid just has “that” face, if you know what I mean) and a sizzle reel that was shown at Comic Con. Sizzle reels are essentially action clips mush together. Those are some pissed off apes!

Hillary Swank to Save Venus in Shrapnel

Hillary Swank as a badass former space soldier? Hey, why not. The girl convinced me she could box in “Million Dollar Baby”, so I think she’s got the physicality to carry this off. I guess we’ll find out soon, because Swank has signed on to star in “Shrapnel”, which will be based on a comic book of the same name by Nick Sagan and M. Zachary Sherman, based on the concept by Sagan and Mark Long.

Star Wars Comic Con Deleted Scenes Preview Clip

In case you haven’t heard, the entire “Star Wars” series is coming to Blu-ray for the very first time September 16, 2011, and if you were at Comic Con, then you saw this brief minute-long clip for the upcoming release. Okay, so there’s only about 30 seconds of actual deleted scenes footage here, but it’s still pretty cool.
