Sculptor Sayaka Ganz has a nice brain. I’d love to scan him. In other art forms, the canvas and materials used to create an art piece are usually static. It’s the art that is dynamic. For Sayaka, he has to imagine and conceive the tools, the medium and the artwork. At a distance, his sculptures of horses, dogs and other things are dramatic and amazingly organic. Close up, the elements in the sculptures are made of thrown away pieces of techno fluff. It’s all an assembly of spoons, wire, toys and other junk. It’s a head shaking achievement. Check out the shots below with special attention to the horses that frankly blow my mind. Thanks io9.
