Check out a new batch of images from TNT’s upcoming alien invasion TV show “Falling Skies” (formerly “Fallen Skies”, according to a new press release announcing the show’s Comic Con appearance). For a show with Noah Wyle in the lead and Steven Spielberg producing, it’s surprising that “Skies” hasn’t really gotten all that much press. That might change when the show makes its Comic Con debut, though.
Whoa, is it premiere time for the SyFy Channel again? Yup. While all the other networks are running first-time Summer shows, many of which have no chance whatsoever of coming back for a second season, the cable networks are rolling out their original programmings for return engagements.
The latest hit series from the creators of “Stargate SG-1” makes a date with destiny when “SGU 1.5” debuts on Blu-ray Disc and DVD July 27 from MGM Home Entertainment.

I thought that I would never again see my beloved “Predator” return to the silver screen in the manner that it deserved. I think that, maybe, hopefully, I may have been wrong.
Now with extra Rhona Mitra! And, er, Michael Shanks and Richard Dean Anderson are also doing guest spots, but — Rhona Mitra! The “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” star will be playing a Lucian Alliance commander name Kiva, and it’s a recurring guest spot, too, so expect her back for future episodes.
I’m having a difficult time getting the significant other to commit to seeing “Splice” with me. She’s intriqued by the concept (she’s a professional Nerd) but the horror bits look over her limit.
The fall schedule for Fox has been released and on the docket is Mr. Spielberg’s Terra Nova, which will be “Jurassic Park” except for real and with rayguns.
Remember when NBC’s “Heroes” couldn’t do any wrong? Yeah, that was a while ago. It has done a lot wrong ever since that magical first season, but then again, maybe a show like “Heroes”, with its time-traveling protagonists, was just never really meant to keep going and going.
Whew! I gotta admit, given the show’s plummeting ratings (but shockingly, a suddenly shift upwards with this week’s episode), ABC has done us all a big solid by renewing the new “V” show for a second season, reports Deadline.
