Revolution Gets Full First Season Order

Nix October 6, 2012

Good news, fans of “Revolution”, the Eric Kripke show has been given a full first season pick-up by NBC, thanks to some strong ratings that handed the network its first win among the all-important 18-49 demographics in years. Two other shows were also given full season pick-ups, but who cares about those two, am I right?

Don’t be a Dumbass — Watch Revolution Tonight on NBC

Nix September 17, 2012

Hey, love sci-fi TV? Then don’t forget to watch the premiere episode of Eric Kripke’s “Revolution” later tonight on NBC. This isn’t basic cable, so the show will need as many eyeballs as possible to make an impression, and what better way to get started than with the pilot. Is “Revolution” the greatest show to ever be put on the air? Definitely not. But it’s very good, very entertaining, and it’s got a pretty good cast of characters. I could do without all the conspiracy angles (the burdens of a J.J. Abrams-produced show, I’d imagine), but fans of Kripke’s “Supernatural” will definitely get a real kick out of it. It does in one hour (with commercials) what some shows have trouble doing in two hours — telling a concise and intriguing tale that makes you want to come back for more. If nothing else, Billy Burke kicks all kinds of ass when he finally shows up towards the end. “Revolution”… Continue Reading »

Two More Revolution TV Spots and See the Show in Theaters in Your Hometown

Nix August 31, 2012

To get their show “Revolution” off to the best start possible, NBC is premiering the show in theaters across the country, but only in select cities. There’s a full list below for those interested in seeing this thing on the big screen. Not sure how that’s going to work out — most TV shows don’t look that good projected on the big screen, but maybe they shot this different. Also, two new TV spots, cause you just can’t get enough of that spunky Charlie pleading to her “Twilight” uncle for help. Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was… Continue Reading »

Character Profile Videos for Eric Kripke’s Revolution

Nix August 17, 2012

NBC has been releasing these character profiles for their new show “Revolution” (from “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke, but if you didn’t know that you might think J.J. Abrams is the only guy working on this show) a while now, but I’ve waited until now to gather them all for this one post. Why? Mostly laziness. Please to enjoy. Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of… Continue Reading »

New Extended Promos and Images for NBC’s Revolution

Nix August 8, 2012

This is a new extended promo trailer for NBC’s new show “Revolution”, but it’s actually just the same stuff as the 4-minute plus trailer that was released awhile back, except it’s only half as long and I do believe this is our first look at Elizabeth Mitchell (of “Lost” fame) in the cast. As you might recall, she was swapped into the cast at the last minute. You’ll notice that Eric Kripke, the show’s actual creator and brains, is still getting the shaft, but then again that was inevitable with Abrams’ name attached. Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it… Continue Reading »

Eric Kripke’s Revolution Gets an Olympics TV Spot

Nix July 28, 2012

NBC has released a couple of new “Revolution” TV spots during the London Olympics, but they’ve only released one officially online. You can check that out below. It features Tracy Spiridakos as the spunky, pretty blonde lead prominently, along with “Twilight” dude Billy Burke as her ass-kicking uncle, and Zak Orth as the slightly overweight, nerdy looking guy. I’m gonna guess that nerdy dude doesn’t get the girls. I could be wrong, of course. The show premieres on NBC September 17th.
