Your First Look at the Predators Sneak Peek Trailer

Itching for some “Predators” action about now? You’re in luck, because the sneak peek trailer that we’ve been promised has been posted over at the film’s official site, complete with an introduction by the film’s producer, Robert Rodriguez. Personally I would have liked to just see the trailer without the blabbing, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Check it out below.

Some Predators Inside Juice And Other Sci-Fi Tidbits

I’ve got some little widgets of news for your reading pleasure today. First of all, Alice Braga dishes some on the look of the mighty Predators in the Robert Rodriquez produced and Nimrod Antel directed reboot of same, due out this summer.

On her character and the snaggletoothed enemy:

Predators First Footages to be Screened at SXSW

If you plan on running around my old stomping ground of Austin, Texas around March 12 or thereabouts, you’re in luck, because South by Southwest has just announced that Austin-based filmmaker Robert Rodriguez will be offering the festival goers a “first look” at his latest, the sequel “Predators”, which he produces and Nimrod Antal directed. This is obviously not the whole movie, just the first-ever footages from the film.

The Behind The Scenes Horrors Of The Predator Planet

Somebody snapped up some close up shots of a few set pieces for Nimrod Antal’s “Predators”, the rebooted return to those Sci-Fi, beady eyed crab faced guys that like to go invisible, shoot dudes and call it “hunting”. There’s some cool stuff here. You’ve got the human bones in the fireplace, the viscera hanging from trees look, always tasteful and shots of gnarly trees and what looks like razer sharp road signs.

Predators Set Pics Reveal Predators, Adrien Brody, and Some Russian Guy

Wanna see what the “Predators” set looks like? Wonder no more. Someone snapped some pics from the set and uploaded them to the AvPGalaxy Forums. Presented and accounted for are some Predators (they don’t look especially “super” to me, but maybe they’re foot soldier types), a look at the Predator homeworld where the action will be taking place, star Adrian Brody in his Army fatigues, Walton Goggins, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Oleg Taktaro. More pics here.

Laurence Fishburne’s Predator Role Illuminated

With filming almost complete on Nimrod Antal’s please Jesus be good Predator franchise reboot “Predators”, we are getting a little sauce on the backgrounds of the characters soon to be prey to those tusky mawed human hunters.

Morpheus Joins Predators

The fine folks over at Collider has news that Laurence Fishburne, Morpheus himself, has joined the cast of Nimrod Antal’s “Predators”. The only thing known about the role is that he will be playing a character named Noland, and that’s pretty much it. Fishburne joins a cast that already includes Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Derek Mears, Walton Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, and Louis Ozawa Changchien. The sequel has elite human warriors on the Predator planet, being hunted by super Predators.

Nimrod Antal Promises Guy in Suit Predator, Explains Adrien Brody Casting

Nimrod Antal has got a lot going against him. For one, his name is Nimrod. Seriously, can you imagine the pounding the poor guy must have taken in school? I don’t even want to think about it. Secondly, he’s already knee-deep in shooting “Predators”, the long-awaited sequel to the “Predator” franchise, with Robert Rodriguez producing, and fanboys are tad squeamish about everything they’ve heard about the movie so far. Talking with Comingsoon, Antal explained his casting of Adrian Brody (a move that resulted in a collective, “What the EFF????” from fans everywhere, I would imagine), and promises that the Predator in “Predators” will indeed by a guy in a suit.

Rodriguez’s Predators Casting: Adrien Brody in the Lead

Well this is surprising. If you were to ask me which actor in Hollywood would be perfect as a tough-as-nails mercenary who has to battle the relentlessly badass Predators, my answer would be … Adrien Brody? Say what?

Predators Script Review Reveals Plot Details, Potentially Awesome Cameo

The boys at Latino Review have landed a current draft of the script for the Robert Rodriguez-produced and written “Predators”, and according to them, it’s better than a punch to the face. Well okay, they didn’t say that, but apparently it’s really good. Nimród Antal will direct the film for FOX for a 2010 release date.

Predators To Get Underway Sept 28

We knew that we had the excellent news that the gone stale Predator series was getting the reboot but I had no idea that Robert Rodriquez, producer of the film and juggler of many projects, was going to make it happen so quickly. We have learned that filming for “Predators”, the new and I’m confident far spiffier creature feature being directed by Nimród Antal, will hit film on Sept 28th.

Robert Rodriquez On Predators: “It’s just crazy”

Robert Rodriquez was recently interviewed in the Los Angeles Times about his upcoming rebooted Predator film. Years ago, Mr. Rodriquez wrote a crazy script and at that time it was beyond the scope of the Hollywood machine.

“It was this crazy, intense off-world story and there was just no way it could be made. The technology wasn’t there yet.”

Official: Predators Sequel Has its Director — Nimrod Antal

After a lot of speculation and rumors about who will be helming the Robert Rodriguez-produced “Predators”, his planned direct sequel to the original “Predator” with Arnold Schwarzenegger, comes word from Rodriguez himself that the director will be … Nimrod Antal. The confirmation comes from Austin, Texas via the boys at AICN, who has an inside line to Rodriguez. As in, the site’s owner Harry Knowles actually lives in the same city and eats with the guy, so yeah, it’s pretty much official.

Does Predators Finally Have A Director?

Fans of the original Predator film have been waiting for some time now for a return to that original movies quality foray into man vs alien killing machine Sci-Fi greatness.

Predators May Soon Have Itself A Director

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Neil Marshall, director of Dog Soldiers (werewolves down home) the great Descent (tough chicks in the dark), Doomsday (Road Warrior with Zombies) and the forthcoming Centurion (Romans in trouble) is in direct talks to direct the Robert Rodriguez produced reboot of Predator. A good choice I think if true. More news as it happens.
