Greg Mottola’s Paul Gets Mondo-ized

Alien anal probing has never looked more inviting.

The stunning new poster from Alamo Drafthouse’s collectible art boutique features original art by artist Tom Whalen and has debuted just in time for Universal Pictures’ North American premiere of PAUL, at the SXSW Film Festival on March 13th.

Paul Red Band Trailer

The boys of “Paul” have arrived with a new Red Band Trailer that features lots of ass and genitalia jokes. Yeah, it’s apparently that kind of movie.

New Batch of Images from Greg Mottola’s Paul

More images from Greg Mottola’s nerd/sci-fi comedy “Paul”, starring the boys from “Shaun of the Dead” and co-starring that really cute chick from “Saturday Night Live”. Plus, Jane Lynch and Jason Bateman. Not a bad cast, this one.

Two New Paul Images

Two new images from Greg Mottola’s sci-fi/nerd comedy “Paul” from Empire.

Teaser Trailer for Sci-Fi Nerd Comedy Paul

Here’s the first teaser trailer for “Paul”, the new nerd sci-fi comedy from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, two of the same dudes who gave us “Shaun of the Dead”. This time they’ve dumped zombies for aliens. Or, actually, Seth Rogen’s voice in a CGI grey alien. Jason Bateman co-stars as a G-Man chasing them down, while the delightfully cute (and slyly sexy) Kristen Wiig is the American girl who falls in with our two British lads.

New Pics from Battle: Los Angeles, Paul, Tron: Legacy, Green Lantern, and The Cape

From Entertainment Weekly’s Comic Con 2010 preview, here are new pics from some sci-fi movies and “The Cape”, the new superhero TV show from NBC. I’m not certain, but I’m almost sure the pic with Michelle Rodriguez is the first official image we’ve seen from “Battle: Los Angeles”, which we haven’t heard a whole lot from in a while.

Simon Pegg And Nick Frost With The Behind The Scenes Skinny On Paul

Simon Pegg (Scotty) and Nick Frost, of Shawn of the Dead fame, give us a dandy behind the scenes video view of their new movie “Paul”. “Paul” is a buddy road movie where two nerds and/or geeks (you can be both but not at the same time) try desperately to return an alien named Paul to his spaceship after encountering him during a trip to a Sci-Fi convention. As our loyal readers may or may not know, my first date with my wife was at Shawn of the Dead, so Nick and Simon are kind of like family to me. Paul also stars a bevy of Hollywood’s greatest comedic talent. Joining Simon and Nick are Jason Bateman, Sigourney weaver, Bill Hader, Seth Rogen and a host of others. Paul is directed by Superbad’s Greg Mottola. Thanks Io9.

More Thor and Paul Castings Revealed

Now there’s a great movie title. The Mighty Paul! “Thor” swings his heavy hammer Mjolnir into theatres in 2011, bringing the thunder and lightning down on his evil brother Loki and his godly minions. In casting news, Brian Blessed is rumoured to have been cast as Thor’s dad Odin, the All Father, Lord of the Aesir, Burden of Gunnlöð’s Arms and Swinger of Gungnir. Brian is a barrel chested, loud and enthusiastic fellow best known for Black Adder and Flash Gordon. Below is a clip of his work for the unfamiliar.

A Cast Fills Out Behind Simon Pegg and Nick Frost For Paul

The film “Paul” starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is about to start filming in June. That’s in a few days. I imagine everyone on this list knew they were in this movie before this moment but you never know. Perhaps it was a surprise. “Paul” explains the insanity that ensues when two guys, nerds to the bone, leave a comic book convention and somehow pick up an alien on the way home. Now I’ve picked up aliens AT comic book conventions but never on the way home. Ah, good times. The new announced cast members include Jason Bateman, Jane Lynch, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Seth Rogen as the voice of the alien. The whole thing is directed by Greg Mottola. Thanks Aintitool.

Alien Road Trip with Shaun of the Dead Guys in Paul

It’s “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” meets “E.T.”, minus the zombies and small-town police action, that is. Greg Mottola, director of “Adventureland” and “Superbad”, recently talked with MTV about his new movie, “Paul”, a comedy about an alien who is picked up by two British tourists trying to make their way to Comic Con. Hilarity, as they say, ensue.
