EW Previews the Sci-Fi Movies at Comic Con ’09 with New Images

Entertainment Weekly is previewing a number of sci-fi movies (and one TV show, the SyFy Channel’s Stargate: Universe) that will be holding panels and making splashes at this year’s Comic Con, and have included new images from the movies/show in their preview. They include Shane Acker’s “9″, “Pandorum” with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster, and Stargate: Universe. In the article, they quote Universe producer Robert Cooper as saying this about the new show:

Pandorum Trailer Number Three Is Sci-Fi Horror Fantastic

I just watched the new “Pandorum” trailer straight out of bed this morning. No more need for coffee for me. “Pandorum” stars Ben Foster, Dennis Quaid and Cam Gigandet and tells a scary tale indeed. Two Crewman wake up aboard a starship where many thousands of other passengers are also supposed to be happily slumbering away to find themselves alone. Where are the rest of the crew? Why is it so dark? What’s that..thing…hiding in the dark? Where is my bladder control?

Steven Tyler Screams Bloody Murder in new Pandorum Poster

It looks legit but man does this person look like Steven Tyler or what? Pandorum stars Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Antje Traue, Cung Le, Norman Reedus and Cam Gigandet and is directed by Christian Alvart. After waking up from the cold of hypersleep, two crew members realize something has gone horribly, horribly wrong and the rest of the occupants of their starship are apparently, missing. Looks pretty awesome. I love Ben Foster and it’s time Dennis did a Sci-Fi again. I’ll add a trailer in here for those late to the Pandorum parade. Thanks Comingsoon.

Ben Foster Talks About Living In The Dark In Sci-Fi Horror Pandorum

Ben Foster wakes up from hypersleep only to find his ship empty, his 60,000 shipmates gone and an unpaid power bill. It only gets worse from there. Something wicked is lurking around and not everyone left aboard speaks English. Ben Foster stars along with Dennis Quaid in this really juicy looking Sci-Fi Horror opening in Sept. Ben and fellow cast member Cung le sat down with Io9 to shed some needed light on the dark and gloomy elements of “Pandorum”. Here’s a small slice.

Latest Pandorum Trailer Introduces the Monsters

Then again, maybe all the monsters are in the heads of the survivors, and they’re just imagining gruesome creatures coming after them? That’s possible. But whereas the first trailer really sold the the movie’s happenings as being all in the character’s minds, this latest trailer (via Movieweb) seems to dispel that notion, and seems to make it very clear that the creatures do exist and that they are stalking the ship. Could be one big mind-trip, though, so there’s always that. Check out the newest trailer below.

New Pandorum Poster Continues the Creep Factor

The tagline for Christian Alvart’s “Pandorum” goes like this: “Don’t fear the end of the world. Fear what happens next.” Which would seem to indicate that the film is post-apocalyptic in nature. This would actually explain a whole lot when taken in context with the trailer and these creepy posters for the movie that have surfaced. The latest poster continues adding to the film’s overall creep factor, making it, without a doubt, one of my must-see films.

Pandorum Info From The Inside

Io9 has an interview with Cung Le, a real life strike force champion (buttkicker) that plays Manh in the forthcoming scary stuff on a dark and haunted spaceship movie “Pandorum”. Cung Le dishes quite a lot of good info. Pandorum also stars Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster and is directed by Christian Alvart.

Pandorum’s New Trailer Brings Sci-Fi Chills

pandorum-movie-0The latest trailer for “Pandorum”  is up and about. The beginning of the trailer reminds me uncomfortably of yesterdays dental appointment. Unusual fluids, stainless steel objects coming at me from strange angles, screaming. You get it. Thanks to Scifiwire for the morning flashback.

Creepy Pandorum Poster

In case you missed it, last week we posted some really cool images from the Dennis Quaid/Ben Foster sci-fi/horror movie “Pandorum” here. Go take a look at them. Go on, we’ll wait. Back? Okay. Today there is this very cool one-sheet for the movie, featuring Ben Foster’s character and a whole lot of cables and cords and wires and what have you. It’s really creepy, but also pretty damn cool.

Three More Images from Pandorum

Check this out, guys: three new images from Christian Alvart’s “Pandorum” via the boys over at ShockTilYouDrop. Now I don’t know why a horror movie site just got three brand spanking new stills from a sci-fi movie, but I’m guessing “Pandorum” has elements of horror in it. Not that it matters. These images look killer, although I had no idea MMA guy Cung Le had a role in the movie. Go figure.

New Images from Pandorum, 2012, Avatar, Push, Race to Witch Mountain, Knowing, Monsters vs. Aliens

As part of their sneak peek at 2009′s upcoming movies, the LA Times has a number of images from some sci-fi movies of note. Among them, James Cameron’s “Avatar” (alas, it’s more set pictures, and nothing from the actual movie), disaster movies “2012″ and “Knowing”, another one from “Push”, “Race to Witch Mountain”, and the animated “Monsters vs. Aliens”. Plus, yet another image from Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster’s “Pandorum”. Enjoy.

First Images from Pandorum

Ironically, a day after Summit made us take down the plot synopsis and image for their new sci-fi movie “Pandorum”, Entertainment Weekly has posted two exclusive images from the movie over at their site as part of their first look gallery. The images feature stars Dennis Quaid (looking scared) and Ben Foster (in one of those futuristic sleeping pod whatchamacallits), on their site, along with a very brief plot outline for the movie.

Pandorum Poster and Synopsis

Via the boys over at Quiet Earth, we finally know more about the upcoming sci-fi movie “Pandorum”, including the fact that it’s something of an apocalyptic sci-fi thriller. The film is set to star Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster as two crewmen stranded on a spaceship, and will be directed by Germany’s Christian Alvart, who also wrote the film. Paul W.S. Anderson (“Event Horizon”) produces, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on how you feel about Paul W.S. Anderson films. Plot synopsis, along with a small version of the “Pandorum” poster, below.

Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster in Pandorum

Space is scary enough, but what happens when you wake up onboard a ship, and there’s only one other guy next to you, and you’re both supposed to be on a mission, but neither one of you have any idea what that is? Worst yet, you eventually discover something that may have bad, bad implications for humankind. Yikes. That’s the premise for “Pandorum” a new sci-fi movie from Constantin Film to star Dennis Quaid (pictured, left) and Ben Foster (“3:10 to Yuma”, pictured below).
