I’m not going to make too much a habit of posting superhero stuff on here, even if said superhero stuff has plenty of aliens and sci-fi elements like “Green Lantern”, mostly because I like to separate my superhero and my sci-fi. But in this case, this new theatrical trailer for “Green Lantern” is just so damn epic, I had to post it.

Epic New Theatrical Trailer for Green Lantern
Four Incredible Minutes from Green Lantern
Warner Bros. recently took their expensive “Green Lantern” to WonderCon and showed four groovy minutes from the movie to fans. There are a lot of new footage from the movie, and possibly your most extensive look at the Green Lantern Corp. yet. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed if you’re a comic book fan.
30-Second Preview of the Green Lantern Trailer
It’s not the full trailer, but it is a preview of the trailer, coming to Entertainment Tonight first next week on Tuesday. I suspect the proper trailer will then be released online for Internet consumption. Until then, here’s a quick look at the “Green Lantern” trailer starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
Green Lantern Movie Character Posters

Those who were at Comic Con can say if Ryan Reynolds and company managed to sell “Green Lantern” to the masses, but for my money, they probably didn’t have to. I’m there with bells on. I mean, come on, a comic book movie set in space about alien parasites and alien cops? That’s a no-brainer there, folks. Check out four excellent character posters for the upcoming movie.
New Pics from Battle: Los Angeles, Paul, Tron: Legacy, Green Lantern, and The Cape
From Entertainment Weekly’s Comic Con 2010 preview, here are new pics from some sci-fi movies and “The Cape”, the new superhero TV show from NBC. I’m not certain, but I’m almost sure the pic with Michelle Rodriguez is the first official image we’ve seen from “Battle: Los Angeles”, which we haven’t heard a whole lot from in a while.
Mark Strong In Final Talks To Play Sinestro In Green Lantern
These are the good days career wise for Mark Strong, lastly seen as Lord Blackwood in Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Mark is filming “John Carter Of Mars” as we speak and will soon play Sir Godfrey in “Robin Hood” with Russell Crowe. Life is good and so is Mark. The word is now that Mr. Strong is in final talks for the primary bad guy in “Green Lantern” with Ryan Reynolds, directed by Martin Campbell of “Casino Royale” and “Edge Of Darkness” fame. The early word was that Jackie Earle Haley was going to land Sinestro, but now, according to MTV Splash Page and Martin Campbell himself, it’s nearly a done deal for Mark.
Peter Sarsgaard Gets The Green Lantern Villain Gig
Joining the “Green Lantern” team of already established players such as Ryan Reynolds (Canuck and hubby of Scarlet Johansson) and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) comes Peter Sarsgaard portraying a villain that comes upon his powers in the oldest and truest of Sci-Fi traditions, the funky glowing meteor. Martin Campbell of “Casino Royale” fame will direct in the tale of a man that through brightest day and blackest night never lets evil escape his sight.
Variety Reports Ryan Reynolds Is The Green Lantern
Ryan Reynolds, a good old Canadian boy and hubby to the almost perfect Scarlet Johansson, has been cast as The Green Lantern. Ryan has shown as his Sci-Fi superhero bona fides as Deadpool in the horrible Wolverine movie I am trying now to forget. Other popular dudes in the mix for the wearing of the green ring were Justin Timberlake (?) and Bradley Cooper (Hangover). Martin Campbell, director of the great Casino Royale will be behind the camera.
Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern?
I think Nathan Fillion is a decent actor myself, and he’s been good in the things I’ve seen him in, like the “Serenity” movie, or the Firefly TV show from which it was based on. I even think he’s okay in that new show of his called Castle, of which I’ve only seen previews for, but hey, he looked good in it. But of course I’m not a Nathan Fillion fanatic, but there apparently lots of those around, too, and one of them made this very cool “Green Lantern” movie trailer if it starred Fillion. Good stuff. It’s never going to happen, of course, but why burst the kids’ bubbles?
Brian Austin Green Lantern?
Filming on the live-action version of D.C. comics’ intergalactic superhero Green Lantern is set to roll very soon for a 2010 release from Warner Bros., but there hasn’t been any official word yet on who will be donning the green tights and slipping on that comfy, super powerful ring. Rumors have been circulating that Chris Pine (young Kirk in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek”) is up for the role, but if he has anything to do with it, former Beverly Hills 90210 turned cool dude with major geek cred (thanks to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) Brian Austin Green would like his name to be added to the list of wannabe Green Lanterns.
