First Look at Matt Damon as a Futuristic Gun-Wielding Badass in Elysium

Nix July 4, 2012

Been wondering what Matt Damon looks like in director Neill Blomkamp’s “Elysium”, his follow-up to “District 9″? Well wonder no more. Here’s your first magazine scan of Damon from the movie. That would be the image above, in case you were wondering. Sony is also bringing the film to Comic Con this month, so if you’re in San Diego aways, you might want to try to get in. I’m guessing there will be some footage or such. The film has been doing a pretty decent job of hiding itself, with only set image here and there to pop up online. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality… Continue Reading »

Neill Blomkamp and Sharlto Copley Re-Team for Elysium

Nix December 6, 2010

Fans of “District 9″ rejoice. Director Neill Blomkamp and star Sharlto Copley have re-teamed for a new sci-fi movie called “Elysium”. The film is said to be “set in the far future on another planet and, like District 9, is filled with many sociopolitical ideas wrapped up inside a Hollywood action film.” Blomkamp can currently be seen spurning the studio’s need for a quickie “District 9″ sequel and getting the financing and all the other stuff of Hollywood productions ready to make “Elysium”. So look for it very soon.
