Three More Reasons to Watch Dollhouse

by Nix - on Nov 20th 2008

Eliza Dushku in tight black leather pants. Okay, so maybe that’s more than three reasons (I’m not good at counting), but you gotta admit, Eliza Dushku in tight black leather pants is a pretty good reason to do just about anything, especially when it comes to something as easy as watching a TV show in your free time. (Or at least DVR it, ya lazy bums.) Sure, FOX is doing its best to bury Joss Whedon’s show by scheduling it to bow on Friday nights aka The Graveyard, but let’s prove them wrong and watch Dollhouse anyway, shall we? Here are three new images of Eliza Dushku from the show to get you excited.

FOX Dooms Dollhouse and Terminator to Friday Nights in 2009

by Nix - on Nov 7th 2008

I mentioned this before when I posted the latest trailer for Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, but it deserves another post of its own: the FOX network has decided to schedule Dollhouse on Friday nights along with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for their Spring 2009 line-up. Now, at first this may not seem like such a big deal, but it’s a pretty big deal for a new show like Dollhouse. Not only has FOX moved the lowly-rated Terminator (which has been in trouble pretty much throughout its second season, ratings-wise, with impending cancellation somewhere on the horizon) from its original Monday night time slot, all but guaranteeing its death, but it’s giving Whedon a very poor lead-in show to boot.

New Dollhouse Promo

by Nix - on Nov 6th 2008

Haven’t heard much about Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse lately? Well besides the rumor (since confirmed) that Whedon has tossed out the original pilot for the show, and is now shooting a new pilot, I mean. Anyways, while we wait to see Eliza Dushku kick ass and look hot on the small screen once again, here’s a new promo for the show that’s popped up online. There are some new footages here that haven’t been seen before, but whether they’re from the newly shot pilot or the old one, remains to be seen. The promo does give off a more ethereal vibe, though, and less fanboy-ish than the previous ones that have been released so far.

More Dollhouse Promos

by Nix - on Oct 1st 2008

Even more promos from Joss Whedon’s upcoming Fox show Dollhouse (starring Eliza Dushku as a kick-ass heroine) for you to take a gander at. As far as I can tell, J.J. Abrams’ Fringe is doing pretty well on the network, which bodes well for Whedon’s Dollhouse. What’s not doing so well? Fox’s The Sarah Connor Chronicles seems to be heading toward cancellation. Hopefully Dollhouse will be more Fringe than The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but knowing Fox, the network will have a very short leash when it comes to their more expensive shows, and Dollhouse should be pretty expensive to produce, I would imagine.

Joss Whedon Reshooting Dollhouse Pilot

by Nix - on Jul 23rd 2008

I know what you’re thinking: “Uh oh. FOX is doing it again.” Another Joss Whedon show, another FOX cancellation? I won’t blame you for thinking so after what FOX did to Whedon’s last show on the network, Firefly. Whedon’s latest show on the network is Dollhouse, starring Eliza Dushku, and according to Whedon himself, he is currently reshooting the pilot. Why? Whedon answers all (humorously, as always) on his official site.

Dollhouse: New Promo Images

by Nix - on Jun 8th 2008

A couple of new promo images for Joss Whedon’s upcoming FOX sci-fi show Dollhouse, below. The show stars Eliza Dushku (who last worked with Whedon on Angel and before that, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Echo, a young woman whose memories are erased after each mission she completes for a secret, private organization. Things get complicated when Echo starts to remember her past “lives”, and a cop (played by Tahmoh Penikett) starts snooping around the Dollhouse.

Dollhouse: Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku Goofs off

by Nix - on Jun 4th 2008

I think I’ve finally discovered why Joss Whedon always casts really cute girls like Eliza Dushku in his TV shows — so he can do goofy promos like this one, where he gets to be fondled by Eliza. Here’s a brief minute and a half promo that Whedon and Dushku did for FOX to promote their new show Dollhouse, which premieres on the network in the Fall.

Save Dollhouse! What, Already?

by Nix - on May 30th 2008

You can forgive Joss Whedon’s fans for being a little leery of FOX. After all, this is the same network that axed their beloved Firefly before the show even had a decent chance at survival. FOX has always been notorious for greenlighting geek-tastic shows, only to kill it before it even has a chance. So what does that mean for Joss Whedon’s latest, the Eliza Dushku starring Dollhouse? No one knows, of course, since the show has yet to air, but that’s not going to stop the guys and dolls over at DollhouseForums.com from already thinking of ways to “save” the show.

Two-Minute Trailer for Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, Images

by Nix - on May 15th 2008

Wasn’t it just earlier today that I posted an interview with Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon about how the show came about? Well forget about that, because at this moment we have the two-minute trailer for the upcoming show, which was created and shown to the media at the recent FOX upfront show, where networks present their shows, new and old, to the press. The trailer is called “Where Are You”, and the show stars Eliza Dushku, Olivia Williams, and Tahmoh Penikett.

Joss Whedon Talks the Creation of Dollhouse

by Nix - on May 15th 2008

Joss Whedon’s new show on Dollhouse, which just got a guaranteed 7-episode order from FOX, is one of my most anticipated shows of the new season for two reasons: 1) I’ve always been a fan (re: lusted over) Eliza Dushku; and 2) This is my chance to get on the ground floor of a Whedon show before it blows up and I have to hear about it from other people who seems to love it with every fiber of their being. So, here’s an article from the L.A. Times about how Whedon came up with the show.
