Spreading like wildfire are the viral videos from the upcoming “District 9″. Neill Blomkamp directs this story about aliens that come to Earth, can’t leave and are way too scary, subversive or just too different to mix with we pure humans. In these videos, which are really cool I must say, the aliens have had enough of their segregated cage and decide to break out. Hell will obviously ensue.

New District 9 Images Promote Unity, Ghettos
Three new images from Neill Blomkamp’s South African sci-fi drama “District 9″, which is quite the intriguing movie. As to the execution, well, that remains to be seen. But from everything I’ve seen of it, it sure looks like it has the potential to be good, or at the very least, something very different in sci-fi fiction. Being that it’s been a while since we’ve gotten something different, I think we should definitely give the film a shot.
Another District 9 Poster Promotes Alien-Human Unity
Just got in another poster for Neill Blomkamp’s South African sci-fi drama “District 9″, this one hoping to promote some human-alien lovin’. If you haven’t heard of “District 9″ yet, the film has an extraterrestrial race being forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth, where they find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology. Starring no one you’ve heard of, but produced by that guy who did the “Lord of the Rings” films, the film opens August 14.

Neill Blomkamp’s “District 9″ was shown in front of “Star Trek”, and it actually looks a lot better on the big screen. There’s something grainy and cheap about the film when you see it in commercials on the net, but it actually fills out the screen pretty well in the theaters. There’s a sense of “grungy epic”, I guess you can call it about the movie, where there’s this huge, seamless CGI ship floating in the air as helicopters buzz around it. Great shot. Anyways, here’s the first poster from Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi movie, about aliens becoming refugees in South Africa. It’s being “presented” by “Lord of the Rings” mastermind Peter Jackson, whose name figures prominently in the film’s advertising. “District 9″ opens August 14.
District 9 Teaser Trailer Uncensored
As you may remember, we recently brought you Neil Blomkamp’s District 9 trailer here at ScifiCool. However, that trailer was without English subtitles for the alien and due to the horrifying nature of the alien’s appearance there was a blur placed in front of “the visitors” face or maw or whatever it is. A new trailer has surfaced that hides nothing. The Peter Jackson produced District 9 is about a group of bug like star travelers that are forced to live in segregation because of their lack of Ewok level cuteness.
