If you’ve seen the trailer for “Battle for Terra”, then you know that Aristomenis Tsirbas’s human bashing CGI animated movie is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the forehead. But hey, if you’re going to paint the human race in such simplistic terms, the least they can do is make it look good, right? Mission accomplished, it would appear. Three new images from the 2007 movie after the jump. A peaceful alien planet faces annihilation, as the homeless remainder of the human race sets its eyes on Terra. Mala, a rebellious Terrian teenager, will do everything she can to stop it. Featuring the voice talents of Evan Rachel Wood, Brian Cox, Luke Wilson, David Cross, Justin Long, Amanda Peet, and Dennis Quaid. Evil humans strike in limited release May 1.

The film is set in outer space, where the last remnants of humanity, now living on a ship, are forced to seek out a new planet after having already used up Earth. There will be a lot of preaching about the environment and how we humans are such a miserable, conniving, and destructive bunch, but at least it’ll also have cool CGI space battles. Mala (Evan Rachel Wood) is a precocious girl living on the beautiful planet Terra, a place where peace and tolerance are celebrated.
