Living as I do in the Great White North I am relatively unaccustomed to dealing with the bugs. I see an occasional bee. The only scourge of the insectoid kind we encounter way up here are the black flies, a horror too horrendous to describe.
I once went white water canoeing in Northern Ontario in the spring. Unless you were on the water and with a breeze or in your tent you had to wear bug hoods that you even had to eat in.
But I live in the city now and avoid the woods in spring as if my very life depended on it.
But I digress. Coming on Aug 8th to the SyFy(?) network is this epic tale of man’s struggle against huge bloodthirsty killer bugs. One day a cubicle monkey ( Marquette) awakes to find himself webbed. A battle to the death with a giant beetle later and he discovers that the world is in the process of being overrun with giant bugs. The trailer sits below and look awesome. “Infestation” stars Chris Marquette and Ray Wise. It is written and directed by Kyle Rankin. Quiet Earth has a review. Looks like you can’t miss it.
