BSG’s Aaron Douglas Joins Earth Stood Still Remake
- 0 comments
Keanu Reeve’s remake of “The Day the Earth Stood Still” continues to add to its cast. The latest addition will make all the Battlestar Galactica fans out there happy, because Aaron Douglas (aka the chief monkey wrench on the Galactica) has joined the cast. No word on what character he’ll be playing.
Douglas joins a cast that already includes leads Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly, as well as Jaden Smith, Jon Hamm, John Cleese, and Lorena Gale. The remake will be directed by “The Exorcism of Emily Rose’s” Scott Derrikson.
In the 1951 original, an alien name Klaatu and his mighty robot Gort land their spacecraft on Cold War-era Earth just after the end of World War II. They bring an important message to the planet that Klaatu wishes to tell to representatives of all nations. However, communication turns out to be difficult, so, after learning something about the natives, Klaatu decides on an alternative approach.
The remake, presumably, will follow the plot of the original.
