Although I’m not a very big fan of Battlestar Galactica, I gotta give the show all the props it can handle, if just for bringing science fiction back to the lips of mainstream audiences. Of course, if you’ve watched the new BSG at all, you probably realized this is less a sci-fi show than a TV version of an arthouse movie, where everything tragic that can possibly happen to human beings do end up happening to these poor saps on the doomed fleet. Anyways, the big question circling the show’s final season is: “Who is the 12th and final human Cylon that has yet to be revealed on the show”?

Well, the blokes over at SyFyPortal seems to know who it is. Or to be exact, someone has told them who the final Cylon is, although they haven’t been able to confirm it, so it’s caveat emptor time. But instead of coming right out and telling us, they’ve included the reveal in a list of five names of possible Cylons. Check out the list for yourself below. It includes, apparently, two dead characters. Wha? Anyways.

The candidates for the 12th and Final Cylon on Battlestar Galactica are:

Lee Adama
Felix Gaeta
Laura Roslin
Ellen Tigh (dead)
Cally Tyrol (dead)

If I had to guess, and this is purely a guess coming from someone who has seen all of Season 1 and some of Season 2, but pretty much not a single full episode of the other seasons, I’m going to have to go with Laura Roslin, played by Mary McDonnell. Isn’t she the one who has been having all kinds of crazy dreams and seeing visions? Plus, making Lee Adama a Cylon would just be lame, as well as making the much-anticipated Final Cylon two dead chicks.

So, it’s either Roslin or Felix Gaeta. Maybe Gaeta, though, since it would be unexpected, as I’ll grant you, Roslin is kinda the obvious choice, isn’t she? So although it probably should be Roslin, the producers of the show will probably make it be Gaeta, as that would be the “wow” factor they tend to go for on the show.
