Rabid fans of AMC’s Breaking Bad, starring Bryan Cranston as a father who learns he has lung cancer and decides to provide for his family after his possible death by manufacturing crystal meth (he’s a chemistry teacher by day), will be thrilled and breathless after reading this sentence to learn that Mr. Cranston has joined the pretty awesome cast of Andrew (Pixar God) Stanton’s “John Carter Of Mars”.
The adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs book series centers on a Civil War veteran (Taylor Kitsch) who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars, where he becomes involved with the planet’s warring people. Cranston plays a Civil War colonel who comes into conflict with Carter.
Bryan is truly a great actor and he needs to do more films. The rest of the cast come to play as well and include Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton, Dominic West, Polly Walker, Thomas Haden Church, James Purefoy and Mark Strong. It all starts filming next week so I’m sure we’ll soon get a little peek from the set. Thanks Comingsoon
