Peter Berg’s big-budget “Battleship” (supposedly it’s heading out to sea with a $200 million budget or thereabouts) has added a fresh face to its cast: Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret supermodel Brooklyn Decker.
For those who haven’t been keeping track of the life and times of Brooklyn Decker, the model was most recently a candidate to replace Megan Fox in “Transformers 3″, but lost out on the gig to fellow supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I suppose getting a cushy gig as the love interest on another big-budget sci-fi movie ain’t too bad of a consolation prize.
“Battleship” will star Taylor Kitsch (Decker’s cinematic love interest) and Alexander Skarsgard as Naval brothers, along with R&B singler Rihanna, who was cast recently, as they battle alien invaders intent on doing some nefarious thing with the Earth’s oceans. Ain’t that always the case with alien invaders?
