Star Trek fans will be familiar with the name Brannon Braga as the man that ran Star Trek shows such as Next Generation, Voyager, Enterprise and also had a recent hand in Flash Forward and in the last few seasons of 24. See a trend?
The Spielberg has selected Mr. Braga to run his latest effort, a pretty cool sounding time travel into the dinosaur days by the name of Terra Nova. The show will kind of be a Swiss Family Robinson sort of affair, with a setting of a family 100 years in the future who get splurted back in time and are forced to survive with just Tommy’s raygun and sister Sally’s easy-nuke-oven. If the effects are good it might be a winner. Kyle Chandler of Friday Night Lights fame is rumoured to be cast as a lead. Terra Nova has already been signed for a 13 episode run on Fox. A regular pilot can’t be made because of the tear down and rebuild cost of the sets. Not sure yet when it’s going to air. Stay tuned and we will enlighten you when we get any more info. Thanks Slashfilm for the scoop.
