Having been raised on the old school Trek and being of the advanced age to have actually watched the show while it was still on it’s network run, getting to know a new Spock was a little difficult.

I think Zachary Quinto did a fine job. The thing I think he missed was Nimoy Spock’s very carefully controlled sense of humour. Now I understand that Quinto Spock was young and young sometimes means taking things too seriously, but with Nimoy Spock you just felt that there was a smile always there, just under the surface of that logical mask. It was in his eyes too, that little glint.
