New Predators Featurette Shows New Footage And The New Passion

Here’s a nice “Featurette” starring director Nimrod Antal and producer Robert Rodriquez being interviewed on a variety of “Predators” reboot style questions, all to the lovely backdrop of some new footage from the movie.

Brilliant Pixels Short Is Simply..Amazing

In Pixels, an impossibly well done short by Patrick Jean, the arcade games from the past go on a gigantic spree of 8 bit assimilation in the streets and skyline of New York. Hard to imagine that Patrick wasn’t inked to a deal pretty fast after this film hit the streets. Funny but kind of scary too. A cautionary tale about the rise of the nanobots?

Stargate Universe Episode Recap 1.12: Divided

Its Stargate Universe recap time again kids and episode 12 was a doozy. We’ve got hurt feelings. We’ve got alien probing. Shields are on maximum and it’s mutiny buddy. I guess that it’s true what they say,  “In Space, no one can hear you scheme”.

Carl Erik Rinsch And His Sci-Fi Short The Gift Isn’t Finished With You Yet

By now you’ve seen the visually stunning and really very unique CGI visions of Ridley Scott protege and commerical directing genius Carl Erik Rinsch. It’s a marvel. When you watch it you get a hunger, deep inside, to see more of this world Carl has created and to really sink your teeth into it.

A Sneak Peek Into Tonights Stargate Universe Episode :Divided

Hey, I don’t have to tell you it’s Friday. You can feel Friday in your bones like a Canadian Goose knows North and so, if it’s Friday, it must be time for another episode of everyone favorite Lost In Space Sci-Fi extravaganza, StarGate Universe.

Ridley Scotts Parallel Lines Project Releases Some Awesome Sci-Fi Shorts

Mr. Ridley Scott has a cadre of talented directors he keeps penned up under his Ridley Scott Associates banner. It’s kind of like a record label I guess, where I’m sure Ridley downloads his most excellent skills to the likes of Carl Erik Rinsch and Johnny Hardstaff (not his porn name).

First Set Pictures From The Thing Prequel

In the better to have not made it then to screw it up category, we continue our ongoing coverage of “The Thing” prequel with some icey Norwegian Antarctic base pictures. Not much to elaborate on besides the fact that, as a Canadian and an expert on cold, it looks legit.

Taylor Kitsch To Headline Peter Berg’s Battleship

Taylor Kitsch, soon to be seen in “John Carter Of Mars” and who you may remember as Gambit in “Wolverine” has gotten himself a new gig in the Peter Berg directed “Battleship” somehow based on the Hasbro game.

Andrew Lincoln Cast As Lead Undead Stomper In The Walking Dead

Wasn’t too long ago that we had Jonny Lee Miller as the rumoured lead in AMCs The Walking Dead, based on a very good comic series by Robert Kirkman. It’s all over for Jonny it seems as Andrew Lincoln from the the U.K. show This Life as well as Teachers and Afterlife has gotten the gig.

Inception Is About Screwing With Someone While They Are Sleeping: Now With Instructions

If you’re a Sci-Fi fan and you are not excited about Christopher Nolan’s “Inception”, starring Leo Dicaprio and a host of fabulous others, you’ve gone mental.

Will Harrison Ford Saddle Up For Cowboys And Aliens?

This would be some juicy news indeed. “Cowboys And Aliens” is the Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”) directed movie written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof about the wild west and aliens that think we’d be easy pic-kens, partner.

All You Need Is Kill Is GroundHog Day With Lots Of Shooting

In this Warner Bros. purchased script by Dante Harper, based on the book by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, love is no longer all you need. For one soldier, killing is everything when everyday you get dead and wake up in the morning alive and have to do the whole thing again.

The Robot Chicken Guys to Work On A Star Wars Comedy

Now I’m pretty sure this is not a late April Fools joke. Pretty sure. Mostly sure. I mean it’s the 5th right? I’ll forge ahead. Seth Green and Matthew Senreich are reportedly working on a “Star Wars” based comedy with the blessing of Sir George himself. This is really confusing. Could George have stopped taking himself so seriously?

Crazy Person Behind Epic Star Wars Episode 1 Review Returns To Destroy Episode 2

We’ve been waiting for it and now it’s here. Mr. Plinkett, the deranged but brilliant alter-ego of Milwakee film maker Mike Stoklasa returns to bring us an 88 minute utter dismantling of “Attack Of The Clones”. I knew Attack was bad (I frowned through the whole thing), but now I know just how bad it was. I remember how badly I wanted to like it after the “Phantom Menace” disaster. I would have grasped at anything at all good in the thing but there wasn’t a shred of the first three movies in first two prequels.

Stargate: Universe Recap 1.11 Space

As we return to the stranded humans aboard the Destiny after a long hiatus, one thing is clear to me. The budget went up. Cash flow was evident all over the joint in Space, our first episode of the, let’s call it Spring Season. The extra cash was needed because the Sci-Fi game was seriously upped. Universe has returned and it’s on steroids. We’ve got blue transparent old school aliens, wicked space battles with lots of pew pew and a ton of nifty science fiction accessories like inviso-wall HUDS and a much more believable spacey feel. The Destiny doesn’t feel like a WW2 battleship anymore. Now it feels like a real spaceship on a mission.
