I was the perfect age to be bug eyed in teenage lust when I first saw the lovely Leia in slave girl gear at the appendages of the slimy Jabba in “Return Of The Jedi”, the last Star Wars movie that made any sense.

Ridley Scott’s Forthcoming Alien Prequels Will Gestate A Brand New Alien
Or perhaps I should say the original “Alien”. Because of the over saturation of the famous beast, Ridley says (in a recent interview) that he plans to go back to the drawing board and show the creature/machine as it was before the crew of the Nostromo originally encountered it many years ago and had their upsetting, chest popping, face ripping experiences.
The Thing Prequel Forensically Analysed For Your Enjoyment
Following up a classic movie that basically got everything right is no easy task. In this case, John Carpenter’s “The Thing” was a Sci Fi/Horror frozen treat, jam packed with sweet bloody carnage, morphy alien madness and starring one of cinemas premiere bad-asses in the bearded form of Kurt Russell.
Escape From New York Reboot Back On The Track
Heat Vision is reporting that “Crazies” director Breck Eisner has been hired to finally be the guy that brings Snake Plissken, played originally by Kurt Russell, back to a theatre near you.
Stargate Universe Episode Recap 1.14: Human
I’m getting the funny feeling that the brain trust behind Stargate Universe is starting to feel a little confident about their little Sci-Fi show. No longer are the crew of the Destiny plodding around looking glum and searching for something spacey to do. Last nights episode, entitled “Human”, was a smash cut and dreamy affair that had it’s overly serious moments but demonstrated the shows continuing dramatic momentum.
Stargate Universe Human Preview Features Dr. Rush Origin Story Plus Michael Shanks Returns
We’re at episode 14 of season one of Stargate Universe and it’s been a good but sometimes bumpy ride. With every passing episode I have higher expectations for the next. Last weeks show was a goodie and it looks like we are being treated this week to the return of Michael Shanks and also we seem to be about to get illuminated on just how Dr. Rush got himself into this sorry mess.
Fresh New Shots From Christopher Nolan’s Inception

Of the many movies ready poised to assail my senses in the coming year, it’s Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” that is floating my boat the most. I’m getting that trippy Matrix-y kind of vibe and it’s a good feeling.
Avatar Tree Of Souls Gets Real In London
For all those people devastated that Pandora is not a real place and suicidal to learn that they won’t be growing elf ears and turning into a gigantic skinny smurf any time soon, you’ll be panting to know that a piece of Pandora is coming to you soon.
Cameron To Explore 3D Oceans In Avatar 2
Obviously, the planning for “Avatar 2″ and 3 and etc, are well underway. Once you’ve hopped from tree to tree and run screaming through an alien jungle ( a rain forest is what it’s called only if you haven’t been in one) with speedy, tank like dinosaurs intent on pulverizing your most precious appendages, there’s really no point in belabouring the point.
Blu-Ray Edition Of Star Wars On The Way
My dear wife, forever may she reign, has never seen “Star Wars” or “The Empire Strikes Back” or any of the other Wookie loving, fun filled, Lucas spawned films of mixed quality. I’ve been kind of saving the first trilogy for her for the day she could view it on the big screen TV in all it’s potential 1080P glory.
Sid Mead’s Blade Runner Concept Art Up For Sale
The “Blade Runner” faithful and Sci-Fi mavens everywhere will recognize Syd Mead as one of the genre’s greatest futurists, a man who translates the Sci-Fi vision into imagery for such films as “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, “Tron”, “Aliens” and “Mission: Impossible III”.
Sharlto Copley Climbs Aboard Spielbergs I Am Number Four
Sharlto Copley, the star of “District 9″ has joined the cast of the Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg produced “I Am Number Four”, based on the 6 book series by James Frey and Jobie Hughes (Yes, that James Frey). Number Four is about a group of alien teenagers (aren’t they all alien?) that escape their home planet just before it is smushed by another group of ridiculously hostile aliens. Sharlto plays the mentor and protector of the lead, played by “Beastly” star Alex Pettyfer.
