Nicole Scherzinger in Men in Black 3 (2012) Movie Image

Four new images from Barry Sonnenfeld’s “Men in Black 3″, the third in the franchise. Duh. It’s right there in the title. Anyhoo. More Josh Brolin as a young Agent K and your first look at Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger in the movie. The guy in chains is Jemaine Clement, the movie’s Big Bad, I believe.

FOX Cancels Terra Nova, Producer Will Shop Show Elsewhere

by Nix - on Mar 5th 2012

Terra Nova TV Series

Well, scratch another sci-fi show on network TV. To be perfectly honest with you, I kind of saw this one coming. “Terra Nova” was costing $4 million per episode, and apparently Fox didn’t think 10 million viewers per episode was worth that chunk of change. Thus — cancellation.

Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games (2012) Movie Image

The lesson here, kiddies? Don’t ever turn your back on a girl with a bow and arrow. Especially when you’ve dragged her from her friends and family and home to fight against her will in your little win-or-die tournament. Stupid Capitol scum.

Watch 10 Whoppin’ Minutes of John Carter Now. Today. Here, At This Moment.

Taylor Kitsch in John Carter (2012) Movie Image

It’s pretty rare that a studio would release the first 10 minutes of their movie ahead of the film’s release. Usually you get lots of images and clips (sometimes maybe even 10 minutes worth of clips), but you RARELY get a whole chunk of the movie online for free. But that’s precisely what Disney has done with Andrew Stanton’s “John Carter”. Check out the beginnings of the movie below if you’re so inclined.

Is This New Men in Black 3 Trailer What You’re Talking About?

Men in Black 3 (2012) Movie Poster

Cause you know, it’s what Will Smith is talking about. Or as he’d put it, now THAT’S what he’s talking about! Hah.

Two More Men in Black 3 Posters

Josh Brolin and Will Smith in Men in Black 3 (2012) Movie Image

Two more character posters for “Men in Black 3″. Cause you can never get too much of Will Smith, Josh Brolin, and Tommy Lee Jones in their suit and tie and sunglasses. I mean, what’s cooler than that? Not a whole damn lot. (Okay, a whole damn lot is cooler than that, but this is all you’re getting now, and you’re gonna like it, dammit!)

Aaron Sims’ Sci-Fi Short Archetype is So Good They’re Making a Movie Version

by Nix - on Mar 1st 2012

Archetype Short Film

Aaron Sims’ sci-fi short film “Archetype” is apparently so good, Hollywood took notice and now “Chronicle” producer John Davis will be blowing it up into a full-length feature film, with Sims directing. Curiously, he won’t be writing the script, that will be the job of Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy. Odd, that. You’d think he’d at least get first crack at the script.

Sam Raimi’s Day of the Triffids Remake Hires a Writer

by Nix - on Feb 29th 2012

Day of the Triffids

Neil Cross, the creator of the BBC’s critically acclaimed crime show “Luther” (if you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out), has been tasked with adapting John Wyndam’s “The Day of the Triffids” for producer Sam Raimi and his Ghost House Pictures. Raimi and company have been working on a remake of the killer plants from outer space movie since 2010, and this is the first real movement on the film.

Peter Weyland Explains the Reasoning Behind Weyland-Yutani’s Douchebaggery

by Nix - on Feb 29th 2012

Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland in Prometheus Viral Video

Note: this is not an actual scene from Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”. Instead, it’s a clever, well-done viral video featuring a character name Peter Weyland, whose family tree would go on to found the notorious Weyland-Yutani Corporation that runs the “Alien” universe and, now, the “Prometheus” universe as well. As you can see from Weyland’s speech, there’s a reason why these guys end up being the background villains of the “Alien” franchise. They are, to say the least, not very humble fellas.

John Carter’s Final Pitch: Is it Working Yet?

Taylor Kitsch in John Carter (2012) Movie Image

In case you’re not sold on the film yet, here’s Disney’s final attempt at selling you Andrew Stanton’s “John Carter”, the $250 million dollar (if Disney is to be believed) film that will either go down as one of the biggest flops of all time, or one of the most surprising hits of all time. Or somewhere in the middle, I guess. That’s certainly a possibility, though, though I suspect it’ll be one or the other. Just a gut feeling. Anyhoo. The last, final, no-more-after-this-one trailer for “John Carter” awaits you below.
