Attack Of The Star Trek Trailers!

So I was watching last nights Lost episode, wondering where in the holy hell the plot was going, when POW, I was assaulted by yet another “Star Trek” trailer. I jerkily reached for the remote since I really would like to avoid seeing the entire movie in advance of my epic journey to the temple of IMAX next week.

Halfway to the clicker I was struck with a strange paralysis. My muscles refused to accept my neural input to switch to Jon and Kate Plus 8 or whatever other programming would temporarily distract me from TTO (Trek Trailer Overload) I found I could not blink nor look away as James T ran for his life on some godforsaken ice planet probably somewhere in the Neutral Zone.

My beautiful wife, all lovely and nerdy, but possessing no Trek knowledge of any kind, even remarked as we watched together, transfixed.

“I’m actually kind of excited to see this”.

This is big news. She occupies the critical “cute chicks with glasses” demographic. It bodes well for “Star Trek” that despite myself, I am unable to look away from any footage of the movie whatsoever. It is better news that the female units among us may also enjoy the film when we force them to come with us. Below is the trailer that so skillfully ambushed me during Lost. Will you look away?
