Add Bill Pullman to Torchwood’s American Cast
Nix December 15, 2010
“Torchwood” just keeps adding to the American cast: the latest addition is Bill Pullman, most famous to sci-fi audiences as the President in “Independence Day”. Pullman’s character on “Torchwood” is a tad different from his “ID4″ days, though he’ll probably be fighting aliens here, too, we presume.
Pullman will be a regular on the show, and will play Oswald, who is described thusly:
Oswald Jones, a dangerously clever convicted murderer who escapes his lifelong prison sentence on a technicality and quickly becomes a media sensation. Genuinely repentant yet boiling with lust and rage, Oswald gets caught up in a terrifying worldwide crisis.
Pullman joins Mekhi Phifer as a CIA agent who throws in with John Barrowman’s alien-fighting Captain Jack and his sidekick, Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) in the show’s more State-focused fourth season, which will air on both the BBC and the Starz channel.
