72 Dollar Zombie Feature Loved And Sold At Cannes
Colin (2009) Movie, Sci-Fi Movie News — By endymi0n on May 26, 2009“Colin” is a Zombie movie with a couple of interesting twists. First, the movie is told through the point of view of the Zombie. I imagine the process of slowing turning Zombie, or even quickly turning Zombie might be quite a dramatic moment for the afflicted. I wonder what your first clue of impending Zombieness would be? Could it be that sudden shambling gate? Your consonant free vocabulary? Perhaps the truth dawns on you as you gnaw gleefully away at the thighbone of your mother.
The second twisty bit surrounding “Colin” is the fact that it was made for 72 bucks. Made for 72 bucks and shown at Cannes, the premier film festival on the planet. Pretty nifty. “Colin” director Marc Price basically got everyone to volunteer for the film that he required and had equipment that was loaned or borrowed or built with probably other loaned or borrowed stuff. The 72 dollars went for food and a crowbar.
“Colin” looks like it has been sold for distribution in Japan, those lovers of all things Zombie and monsterish. Marc Price has high hopes that his film will see the light of a projector in England or North America sometime soon. Nice work Mr. Price. Via Filmdrunk.
