Your First Official Look at Tony Stark in Iron Man 2

Hey, look, it’s Iron Man and he’s fighting the new supervillain Whiplash played by Mickey Rourke! Oh wait, no, he’s just sitting behind a desk sorta staring off into space there. Oh well, it’s still the first official pic from Jon Favreau’s superhero sequel “Iron Man 2″, and Robert Downey Jr. looks cool doing pretty much anything anyway. Hard to believe this guy was in jail sniffing cocaine off someone’s ass a few years ago, huh?

The Waning Moon?

Duncan Jone’s “The Moon”, starring Sam Rockwell, will be opening June 12th. In “The Moon”, a miner, living by himself with only computer and robotic companions begins to see some very strange things soon before he is scheduled to return home to Earth. It looks fantastic.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Trailer #2

It’s twice as big, twice as loud, and twice as Transformery. Return, why don’t you, with us to a world populated by giant talking robots that can transform into everything from cars to fighter jets to cyborg dogs. It’s Michael Bay’s “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, and Yahoo! Movies has premiered the latest new trailer (#2) for the film. Is it more of what we’ve already seen ala the Showest Footage? Yes, and then some.

Lost Recap: 5.14 The Variable

Wednesday night’s 100th episode of “Lost” was exactly the kind of dramatic, action-packed roller coaster ride the show will be remembered for after its final season has ended. For what has been referred to by some fans as an uneven fifth season, “The Variable” was the creative effort they’d been waiting for. I was a bit surprised that Daniel Faraday and his back-story were given the 100th episode. I thought perhaps the original cast, or the island itself should have had it, not a character that was introduced last season and missing from most of this one, but I digress. It certainly didn’t diminish my enjoyment.

Flash Forward “Flashes” Embedded In Last Nights Lost

In between Lost and my hypnosis by Star Trek trailer I noticed the little “What did you see?” mini commercials for next years probable series “Flash Forward”.

Another Megan Fox Pic from Transformers 2

Yahoo! Movies has been promising us a the high-res, new trailer for “Transformers 2″ since yesterday, and they should be delivering it in a few hours. (We’ll post it here, of course.) Until then, they posted this new picture of Megan Fox from the movie. Sorry, boys, it’s just Megan Fox standing around looking adorable, if by “adorable” you mean smoking hot.

Attack Of The Star Trek Trailers!

So I was watching last nights Lost episode, wondering where in the holy hell the plot was going, when POW, I was assaulted by yet another “Star Trek” trailer. I jerkily reached for the remote since I really would like to avoid seeing the entire movie in advance of my epic journey to the temple of IMAX next week.

New Batch of Star Trek Images

At this point, we might end up seeing half of the movie via clips by the time “Star Trek” is finally out in theaters on May 8. Mind you, not that I’m complaining, because I’m actually warming up to the movie. Shockingly, I don’t even mind the whole “not really Star Trek Star Trek” vibe that Abrams has been giving out since he started doing interviews. And certainly Trek fans don’t seem to mind, so why should I? Here are even more images from the movie. I believe some of these are old, or I’ve seen them in various forms over the year, but I’m told these are new, so I’m calling them new and that’s all there is to it.

Steven Soderbergh Sees Some Avatar, Swears

Steven Soderbergh, the director of a million good movies including the Limey and Solaris was in the midst of publicizing his latest movie “The Girlfriend Experience” starring the lovely Sasha Grey when he was asked about why movies today just don’t have the impact of movies from long ago. Steven has seen bits of  James Cameron’s “Avatar” and feels it has the impact we have been missing.

Zoe Saldana Spills A Few Beans On James Camerons Avatar

It is a very difficult task getting any inside juice on “Avatar”. James Cameron runs a tight ship. There is little or no leakage. Zoe Saldana, who plays Uhura in “Star Trek”, also plays a part in the oncoming “Avatar”. During a recent interview, she tempts Mr. Cameron’s terrible wraith by giving us some tiny spoilers. We will take what we can get.

Michael Shanks on Stargate Universe: It’s Different

In case you aren’t aware of it by now, but yeah, the new Stargate show Universe is very, very different from all the other Stargate shows that’s come before it. If the teaser trailers for the new show didn’t already alert you to that fact, then Michael Shanks wants to reiterate: Universe is not your father’s Stargate.
