Holy crap. When I watched this test and funding bait loop for the soon may be piloted Brit Sci-Fi “Slingers”, my immediate thought was, (after I stopped hyper blinking) This thing is too good to succeed.

Alice Goes Sci-Fi In A New Wonderland
Alice seems to be a hot girl these days. We’re awaiting Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland”, which from early looks appears dependably Tim trippy. Johnny Depp plays the Mad Hatter in this film version so I won’t be missing it.
Jeff Bridges Talks About His Technical Duality In Tron 2
So far, “Tron 2″ secrets are pretty hard to find. We’ve seen a tiny teaser trailer with some wicked light-cycle battles and we have a vague idea about what’s going to go down, but I imagine it’ll be awhile before we get any real juice. Principal photography is finished but the likely to be ridiculously awesome effects won’t be finished until, like “Avatar”, just before the film is about to get reeled.
The International Poster For Iron Man 2
I always find it interesting how marketing guys tailor their promotions for a movie depending on which side of the pond the movie will play. Like the International poster for Iron Man 2 for instance. I thought that the first poster, released this week depicting Tony in armour back to back with War Machine, would have been plenty acceptable for all. Instead, for the International set, we get Tony brooding in the Iron without the helmet.
Duncan Jones’ Source Code Sounds Familiar, But Still Awesome
Wanna know more about Duncan Jones’ upcoming sci-fi film “Source Code”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal? You’ve come to the right place, and you should keep reading. Does the movie sound interesting to you, but you’d rather avoid POSSIBLE SPOILERS? Then stay clear of this page. You’ve been warned.
New Trailer for Bekmambetov’s Black Lightning Looks Familiar
Basically, it’s like “Spider-Man”, but instead of web shooters and superpowers, our hero has an old car that can fly. That’s pretty much the plot of the Timur Bekmambetov-produced movie “Black Lightning”. A second, Russian trailer for the film has appeared online, and it introduces the movie’s romantic elements — in short, the blonde is Mary Jane, and the hero is Peter Parker, and the mean looking Russian guy who kidnaps Russian MJ is the Green Goblin. They even end the movie with a duel (using flying cars!) in the skies over Russia at night, with Russian MJ’s life at stake. Plus, our hero has a suave, rich buddy who has everything our hero wants, but can’t have, being that he’s poor and such. And is that my imagination or did they also throw in a scene where our hero rescues someone from a burning building — with his car? Personally, I’m waiting for the scene where our hero hangs upside down while strapped into his old car and leans out the sun roof to kiss the girl in the pouring rain. Or, er, pouring snow. It is Russia, after all.
30-Second Teaser Trailer for the New Buck Rogers Web Series
I’m not a big fan of Buck Rogers or anything, or at least, I really don’t know his history. But I am a pretty big fan of the old Gil Gerard TV show “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” when it ran for a few years in the late ’70s and early ’80s. That show was pretty cool, and I loved it as a child. (Or maybe it was all about Erin Gray? Could be, could be…) But it apparently diverted quite a bit from the original source material, which isn’t a surprise. Hard to be faithful when you’ve got a lot of episodes to fill up for a given TV year. In any case, someone name James Cawley is bringing the property back to its roots with a new series of web episodes. Check out a teaser trailer for it below.
Vin Diesel Hints that Chronicles of Riddick Sequel is Gearing Up
Apparently when Vin Diesel talks, he likes to say “Haha”. I mean, I’ve never actually seen someone type “Haha” as often as Vin Diesel does, but I suppose the man does it in real life, so it naturally translate to his typing. Or at least, that’s what I surmised from these entries at his Facebook account, where Vin Diesel has not only been hinting at a “Chronicles of Riddick” sequel on the near horizon, but seems to actually be saying it’s going to happen, and soon.
Peter Berg’s Battleship Movie Will Feature Aliens. Spider-y, H.G. Wells-ish Aliens.
Apparently someone over at Universal is really anxious to get the fanboys on the side of their “Battleship” movie with Peter Berg, because they recently flew a bunch of bloggers to an honest to goodness battleship to talk to Peter Berg about the upcoming movie. On a private yet, no less. (Gee, I guess my invitation got lost in the mail. Stupid mailman, always losing my studio invitations.) According to Berg, his vision of a live-action “Battleship” movie will, indeed, involve an alien war as we’ve heard. Which means, er, I guess they’re expanding just a tad from the game.
Summit and Eli Roth are Planning an Invasion
Those damn aliens and their damn invasion plans. Why can’t they just leave us alone? You don’t see humanity going around trying to invade other planets, do you? Okay, okay, that’s probably because we still can’t do more than fly to the moon, since as we all know, if humans ever mastered intergalactic space travel, I’m pretty sure we’d be “colonizing” worlds by now in the name of humanity. So, yeah, it sorta kinda makes sense that other races would be prone to invading us. The latest invasion plans come from Summit Entertainment and “Hostel” director Eli Roth, who have snapped up a spec script called “Invasion” from writer Ben Magid.
Behold The First Poster For Iron Man 2
May 7 it says will be the day we will all be treated to some delightful “Iron Man 2″ sequel-age. We have the first poster for you and it colourfully depicts our man Tony Stark ensconced in his new Iron Man armour back to back with the bare metal look of War Machine.
