Everyone who has seen promos for NBC’s upcoming remake of the “Bionic Woman” series knows that Katee Sackhoff plays a former Bionic Woman who has gone bad, and is now the main nemesis for young Michelle Ryan’s new Bionic Woman character. But how many episodes will Sackhoff be in? According to the Hollywood Reporter, it’s going to be quite a bit, because Sackhoff has just inked a deal with NBC to make her character a recurring character on the show, a stint made easier since both “Bionic Woman” and Sackhoff’s other show, “Battlestar Galactica” shoots up North in Canada.

Katee Sackhoff to have Recurring Role in New Bionic Woman
Sci Fi Channel to Bring Back Farscape!
Well, sort of. It’s been a long time since new “Farscape” episodes hit the airwaves, so long that I can’t even recall. Was it three years ago? Four? Somewhere along there. I’ve forgotten already. In any case, the Sci Fi Channel has seen the error of their ways, and while they’re not going to be bringing back the series, Ben Browder, Claudia Black, and everyone else included, they will be bringing back Farscape in some capacity — namely as a new web-only 10-part series. Basically, webisodes.
First Look at Kylie Minogue in Doctor Who Christmas Special
A while ago it was announced that Kylie Minogue would be guest-starring in an episode of “Doctor Who” as a Cyberwoman, and just recently, the BBC confirmed that Mingoue would be joining the show — but only for a special Christmas-themed Episode. Now the BBC has release the first image of Minogue on the show (thumbnail to your left, bigger version below), and more details about the Christmas special is revealed: the episode will be called “Voyage of the Damned”, and will take place onboard the doomed Titanic!
The Dead Like Me Movie is Cast: Yes on Everyone, No on Mandy
Good news, “Dead Like Me” fans, not only will your favorite show come back for a TV movie, but so has most of the cast. I say most, because Mandy Patinkin, who plays Death, will be MIA from the movie. In his place will be a new actor who will be playing a new character name Calvin Kane, described as “a slick businessman who couldn’t care less about helping the newly dead”. Expect lead Ellen Muth and co-stars Callum Blue, Britt McKillit, Jasmine Guy and Cynthia Stevenson to return, according to MovieHole. But that’s not all — according to Muth, if the movie does well, it MAY lead to “Dead Like Me” coming back as a series!
Battlestar Galactica: Razor Teaser Trailer
Michelle Forbes and the crew of the Battlestar Pegasus returns to TV in a new two-hour original movie on the Sci Fi Channel in November, 2007. Here is your first look at the movie via a 30-second Teaser Trailer clip (scroll down below for it). Written by Michael Taylor and directed by Félix Enríquez Alcalá, “Razor” is a two-hour Battlestar Galactica special that tells the story of the Battlestar Pegasus several months prior to it finding the Galactica, as chronicled in Season 2 of the series. Besides the returning BSG regulars, the movie will focus on Michelle Forbes as Admiral Helena Cain and Stephanie Chaves-Jacobsen as Kendra Shaw.
Laura Vandervoort Joins Smallville as Supergirl
People.com breaks the news that Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort has joined the cast of The CW’s aging “Smallville” as Supergirl. The news came on Wednesday, and the attractive Vandervoort will be quickly joining the established “Smallville” cast of Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum and Aaron Ashmore in Vancouver as early as next week for her first scenes. In the show, Supergirl will be introduced to viewers as Kara, Clark’s cousin, who was born on Krypton and has all of Clark’s powers plus the ability to fly. She will also apparently have some romance with cub reporter Jimmy Olsen (Ashmore).
Battlestar Galactica Final Season Spoilers
Website Media Blvd recently visited the set of Battlestar Galactica up there in Vancouver, Canada along with a host of other online press folks, and they’ve brought back some major spoilers about the upcoming fourth (and final) season of the popular Sci Fi Channel original TV series. Having said that, only continue reading if you want to know some POTENTIAL SPOILERS about the fourth season.
Preview: The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV Series
The Terminator comes to FOX TV this Fall in “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, a TV spin-off the popular “Terminator” sci-fi movie franchise. It’ll star Lena Headey, fresh from the success of “300″, and Thomas Dekker, fresh from the NBC show Heroes.
A Look at Amanda Tapping’s Sanctuary
If you don’t know the name Amanda Tapping, then you’re probably reading the wrong site. That having been said, Amanda Tapping has a new sci-fi/horror series coming out called “Sanctuary”, which I didn’t know about until someone asked her about it in an interview being hosted over at The Sci Fi World. (You can download the full interview by clicking here. BTW: It does look like Amanda WILL be replacing the Weir character on “Stargate: Atlantis” after all, news I didn’t know until now.) But anyways, back to “Sanctuary”…
Kylie Minogue Confirms for Doctor Who Christmas Special
A while ago there was news that Australian pop singer and actress (and let’s not forget, cancer survivor) Kylie Minogue might be showing up in an episode of “Doctor Who” as a Cyberwoman. (A very sexy Cyberwoman, of course.) Now The Hollywood Reporter has finally confirmed the news, saying…
Alien Vs. Predator 2 To be Called Aliens Vs. Predator
Apparently it’s just going to be ONE Predator versus A LOT of Aliens in the upcoming “Alien vs. Predator 2″ movie, which according to SuperheroHype, will be called “Aliens vs. Predator”. Notice the “s” on “Alien” and the singular form of “Predator”. In the sequel, “warring alien and predator races descend on a small town, where unsuspecting residents must band together for any chance of survival.” Don’t you just hate it when that happens? I know I do.
Sci-Fi Babe Spotlight: Megan Fox
Every now and then, I’m going to be doing a Sci-Fi Babe Spotlight, in which (as the name implies) I will be spotlighting a babe who is currently starring in, or known for, her science fiction movie or TV work. In our inaugural posting in the category, the babe in the spotlight is Megan Fox, who can be seen in the upcoming “Transformers” fleeing killer alien robots from outer space. (Well, they’re “alien robots”, so I guess the “from outer space” part is a given.) But anyways, here’s Megan Fox. Pay attention, because you’re going to be seeing more of her in the future. I don’t know if she’ll stick to the sci-fi genre, but we’ll always have “Transformers”.
Is This What the Aliens in James Cameron’s Avatar Will Look Like?
Is THIS what the aliens in James Cameron’s upcoming CGI-fest “Avatar” will look like? (thumbnail to the left, a bigger picture below) Maybe, and maybe not, says I Watch Stuff, who got the picture from Joblo.com. Apparently a spy took this shot and emailed it to the guys at Joblo, and from the looks of it, speculation is that the pic was taken with a cellphone’s camera. I don’t know if this is true, if it’s all crap, or what, but hey, since Cameron isn’t going to finish, or even REALLY get started on “Avatar” for another year or two, any news (regardless of how lame) is good news.
Stargate Shows Did Good in the Ratings
Or at least, as good as Sci Fi Channel shows can do, anyway. Let’s face it: not a whole lot of people GET the Sci Fi Channel, much less get to watch the shows on them like Stargate SG1 and Stargate: Atlantis. But if you did get the Sci Fi Channel, chances are you were watching, because according to the Channel, the ratings for the two finales were pretty darn decent.
TV Review: Stargate SG1 Series Finale Episode, Unending
Obviously this review for the Stargate SG1 series finale, “Unending” is kind of late. Well, nearly a week late, actually, but nevermind that. It took me a while to get the blog back up and running, so this will just have to do. And anyways, it’s not like anyone has been clamoring for it… But where was I? Oh, right, my review of the Stargate SG1 series finale. Where to start? Here will do: The series finale ended the way the show went about business for the last 10 years: without fanfare.
