With two “Alien” prequels on our minds, with Ridley Scott his own self behind the camera, our thoughts turn back to the beginning when “Alien” was trying things never before attempted in a Scifi/Horror.

In L.A., movie goers trekking to the big premiere event theatres are often treated to something special, with costumes or sets from the movie showcased in the lobby. Back in 79, at the Egyptian, the P.R. boys went all out with set walkthroughs featuring scenes from the Nostromo as well as the original Space Jockey, the giant alien found by the first crew just before creatures started popping out of chest cavities. We don’t know where this Jockey fellow came from or what his deal was, but Ridley promises us an answer when “Alien” returns under his skillful hand. Via Scifiwire.
